No diss and none of the internet troll or whatever, just curious why this is the take because I really don’t see it (but am open to being wrong/hearing how I’m wrong)

Is it his charisma (I’ve never noticed anything outside of AEW but that fan base seems to cheer for everything)

Is it his ring work (seemed normal - not bad not amazing)

What exactly is it that makes him “a star”?

It's the way he carries himself and the whole presentation for me. I like his mic work, attitude, look, and he's good enough in the ring. He has a charisma about him that isn't something you learn or teach. His only downfall is he's on the smaller size, but he comes across and acts like a star. One of the big complaints a lot people have about AEW wrestlers is they don't look or dress like stars and he does. Of course this is all my opinion and the next person might not see it that way, but he always got good reactions during his time in AEW and it felt like people were waiting on him to get a push.

Really hope Ricky does well - he's not got too long left, but he's got the chops and the charisma for a good run.

Eh, He's 34. Most of the dudes in the main event scene right now are 39-47. They just signed Penta at 40. I don't think age matters that much any more, at least to the WWE.
