So. Cal
What’s wrong with the defense carrying the team?
He’s carried it on his back since he became the starter.

People said the same thing last year and he won a Super Bowl
Nothings wrong. Just saying if this was another QB with 8 tds and 9ints eight weeks in, coli wolves would be all over them especially an elite QB :hubie:

Have you watched those games?

Other than week 1-3, 3 of those picks weren’t his fault.

Also

Another reason why they’re 7-0 or is your mind blank at this. He closes the game.

Wasn’t people saying he was playing bad last year and the year before that

He’s playing significantly worse this year than last

It’s really not fair how other positions careers get wasted because teams keep throwing out bad QBs for start after start to see if they “have it”. A lot of these other positions have had it drilled into their heads how it’s a meritocracy then they see trash QBs not getting pulled.

The CB is thinking “man they would NEVER start me 50 games to see if I could play”. Like if you a corner and have a bad rookie year the next draft they picking 2 guys at your position to compete with you for your damn job. If you have a bad September it could be over right there.

Unfortunately, that’s what happens when QB is considered the most important position on the field. They get more leeway compared to other positions even when they shouldn’t.

Rodgers said ‘we gotta score 30’ :what:

Intentional or not that’s a shot at the defense. The levee gon break eventually, somebody gon check him and they need to. They may be better off for it. He movin like he good and it’s them other nggas fukin up

Cherry picked espn stat but they just said Jets loss was the first time ever a team scored 20, gave up less than 150 yards of offense, had no turnovers, and lost. :picard:

No tf he hasn’t. Someone carrying the defense and team on their back would be Drew Brees. Mahomes has had good defenses for damn near all his career.

there’s no way yall watch the same games

The 2020 Kansas City Chiefs defense ranked 22nd in the NFL according to DVOA. The 2019 Chiefs defense ranked 14th, while the 2018 defense ranked 26th

2021- He has his first top 10 defense the Kansas City Chiefs defense ranked ninth overall.

2022 we gotta a lot of sacks but the 49ers, bills, ravens, bengals,

2023- The Kansas City Chiefs' defense ranked secondin the 2023 NFL regular season with a total defense of 268.

Tyreek left on 22. Pat carried our team on his back that year and in 23.

The big difference I'd say though is just the amount of information a QB has to digest compared to other positions. They have to get comfortable just hearing and calling out plays, reading blitzes and making line adjustments, audibles, hot routes, while reading the defenses and how the called play will translate to openings against the said defense. As QBs get more experience they improve in all those areas and the game becomes easier and their true skills start to shine through. It makes sense to give them more time compared to other positions who have a lot less mentally to digest.
