Totally unexpected

Chelsea Green was not expecting her WWE release, noting in an interview that she was “totally shocked” by the decision. Green spoke with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp for an interview and discussed her release, one of the plans for her main roster debut that didn’t happen and more. On her WWE release: “I actually was totally shocked. Not going to lie, I was totally shocked. I understand it. I wasn’t used and of course when I was used then I broke my arm. So I was definitely shocked, and in previous years when they have done the releases I was expecting it more throughout those releases. I was kind of ready last year and times before, but this time I was very shocked because I know my potential in the company and I know what I bring to the table, which is something different; character work and acting skills and promo abilities and that’s something that I know I will thrive at when I’m able to show that. So yeah, I was totally shocked. Thankfully I was given a little bit of a heads up, a little warning, ‘Hey they are cutting people,’ so I was able to mentally prepare myself just in case because I will say, if I hadn’t have got that text letting me know, I would have thought that that phone call was for my debut and that would have been embarrassing. Liking the idea, but want Billie in that role. Peyton can come too, but think Billie would be better in Impact. However a IIconics vs Kiera Hogan/Tasha Steelz program would be hilarious too.

It's crazy how Samoa Joe was originally hired on a pay per night deal when he started NXT. Didn't get hired until the officials in WWE got impressed by him and I believe NJPW/ROH were trying to hire him. Joe should go to AEW, but there booking leads me to believe he'll feud with Darby for the belt, lose, and then disappear for a couple months. It'll be interesting to see how this all pans out.

What’s your prediction if he goes to NWA, Impact, or NJPW?

Out of those three, Impact would be the best move.
-The NWA would be a very short term option. Outside of wrestling Aldis, why go there. He would either job and leave, or split a series before jobbing out. I lost track of NWA since they came back

-NJPW would be dope. I can see him as a lone wolf going as BC and pretty much being a bad ass talking shyt. Would produce the best matches for his style. However, with his medical issues, I don't know if he wants to wrestle strong style and then fly all the way back to the states after every tour, especially given the fact that you can't fly if you suffered a concussion.

-Impact: After Mox causes Omega to lose the title to Moose at Slamerversary, I can see Joe coming out to challenge Moose for the title. He can have some good matches with Moose, Swann, Edwards, etc. It'll also give him a chance get back into wrestling shape and make sure he's good to go before signing with AEW or NJPW. If I was Tony Khan, I would advise him to sign with Impact for 6 months-1 year to make sure he's good to go. Bring him in through the "forbidden door" for a quick feud before signing him to an actual contract.
