Either way win or lose shyt is about to change for Team USA. The player's reps are at stake. There's not going to be any more willy-nilly hop aboard Team USA for a quick and easy gold medal and a vacation to a foreign country. Now the stars are going to want to know who's joining them, who's the role players, who's the guy that's going to cover them on defense, do we have a pass first point guard, what's the offense being ran and who's the coach, etc. These dudes already sensitive as hell during the regular season so this added pressure and scrutiny for the gold is going to get tossed in the bushes quick fast. After Tokyo the superstars will vet and put the whole entire process under a microscope.. they have to because after one loss everybody is questioning their entire playing career all the way from High School and AAU to if they actually work on their game as a pro. It might even have to come back to playing all college players.

That save that French player made to get Fournier that go ahead 3 was the difference

Dame had way too many stupid turnovers and a them 30 footers are nice when they go in but when they lead to a bucket on the other end

We might win gold but a team like Slovenia with a locked in Luka and spot up shooters is pushing this US squad if that's the gold medal game ....we have too many all stars to be looking this vulnerable

And it came from Bam being a complete idiot, all he had to do was get into rebounding position instead of chasing that silly ass block on Gobert and the ball falls right to him. Maybe they still lose because Dame and KD were playing tight as hell down the stretch but under a minute left with the ball up 1, US would have been in a good position to wrap that shyt up.

I'm not blaming the players at all. It's all on Colangelo, Pop, Etc. But the players are going to be the ones taking the hit. I haven't seen or heard one complaint or tweet about Colangelo when he should be front and center with this mess. Him and the rest of those guys are scott free and in the clear for some reason. Social media is a worldwide beast now. The players will think this process through the next time before signing up

Like I said, a lot of the American players don’t care. They just want to be part of the Olympics and get the gold. But once the biggest names start dropping and it no longer looks they’re gonna cruise to a gold medal, you see what happens
