Lol y’all blaming CBB for this? Most the dudes on the team played 1 season of CBB, compared to the dream team where guys had 3-4 years under the best coaches in the nation, CBB rules are closer to FIBA rules than NBA rules
The issue is our youth development system is set up to get talent into college basketball, not professional hoops.

And those that do goto college waste time, if they are an elite prospect.

We were taught a lie.

The US is still the best basketball nation on earth and will always be, as long as we are the current version of this country, but that’s down to population and money. But the system we have is terrible and doesn’t want to face the truth that our fake amateurism is bad for youth development.

We need to professionalize youth development and get the best talents with the best coaches.

And we need to have the NBA change.
It’s not that serious team has no true bigs and is full of high scoring, marginal playmakers. U combine that poor chemistry with smaller court and zone defenses and true bigs pounding inside and disinterested USA guys this is what you have.

I be tryna tell nikkas on here about Durant bu bu but he has no weaknesses. :duck: :mjlol:

The USA is by far the best playing basketball nation but it’s time to put some respect on the world. At the end of the day all these guys are professional hoopers none can be underestimated. It’s time nikkas understand basketball is a team game.

Indeed

Now where are those true bigs in The American basketball program? I will wait.

We don’t have many playmakers either.

When you can’t see the bigger picture, you will have the same problems.

I disagree, AAU is pretty much the youth development system in America and that’s strictly for jus gettin U into college but that’s where it stops, AAU ball mimicks NBA ball more than anything and that’s why u see all these ball dominant 6’7 and taller prospects now

if these dudes stayed in college longer they’d have a far more refined skill set and knowledge of the game; there are a variety of systems and play types u come across in NCAA, AAU and NBA? Not so much

Lonzo Ball isn’t a playmaker?

AD is a top 3 big in the world and he’s American

I don’t think U were on of the guys sayin this but I jus have to say, it’s funny how dudes were sayin CP3 could never see a championship because he looks to playmake too often and needs to be more of a scorer, now dudes are in the thread clamoring for a playmaker lol

What do you mean by true bigs?

team USA has someone designated as a center and a power forward.

Yeah facts .

The best coaching in a lot of these dudes lives would’ve happened in college . Most of the best coaches are on that level. You’d be exposed to and actually learn how to play within an organized system . Instead of pick and roll ball over and over

The NBA isn’t coaching shyt in most situations

It's all about balance, my g.

A balance of knowing when to shoot and when to pass. The guys on the team right now look to score far too often, and their movement is non-existent when they don't have the ball in their hands; CP3 is someone who's closer to the other end of the spectrum, when he doesn't look to score when he needs to.

There's only a handful of players in the league that have got the balance right.

They need guys who can manage the game.

Lowry, VanVleet, LaMelo, Lonzo, CP3, Rondo, Trae, Ja, Conley, Haliburton, Brogdon…shyt even a T.J. McConnell would help

Even idiots like Drummond and Hassan could help because at least they’re huge and rebound at a dominant level.

Mitchell Robinson and Myles Turner would help but they’re rehabbing injuries. Robert Williams would be nice as well.

Either of the Lopez bros. both are true 7-footers.
