I don't think that Zach has COVID. I believe that this is a case of contact tracing. He probably came into contact with someone who had COVID and they are doing this as a precautionary measure.

If he tested positive, they would have said they are looking for a replacement.

I just saw that at the Olympics there's going to be DAILY testing regardless of whether an athlete is vaccinated or not. That's stupid.

If an athlete is fully vaccinated and asymptomatic, they should NOT be tested. The only athletes that should be tested daily are the ones who are NOT vaccinated and/or showing symptoms.

False positive tests are also a thing. It's going to be inevitable that a top athlete(s) that is fully vaccinated and asymptomatic is going to test "positive" for COVID and then have to sit out their event. That's going to be a bunch of bullsh!t - there will be a huge asterisk next to the person that wins the gold (or any medal) in that event.
