Biden is the second least popular president at this point in the presidency (modern era). First being Trump. He’s sinking the party. I still argue he’s at this point because of the games Manchin is playing. This bill could have been passed months ago.
I’ve heard this idea being floated around is that neither wants BBB to pass. They’re hoping for the bills to fail so they can blame progressives.

I don't disagree but the media gives Republicans a pass when they pull shyt like this.

They would never let a Democrat get away with that, even if it were true.
The Dems don’t try to make it true. And it’s not about the media, it’s about getting to people and telling your message. The current party apparatus doesn’t permit that because they care more about who can fundraise the most.

He was a longshot :manny:
It didn't help that he was doing dog whistles about crime, should've made his campaign mainly about ending the mandates. If he came out and went hard after the black vote(we're not in favor of the vax mandates), he would've made the race a bit more competetive.

So you didn't vote for him?

McCaulaliff made a mistake trying to paint Youngkin as baby Trump was not compelling or believable. (He does not behave like Trump)
On CNN a pundit said Dems were frustrated with McCaullif not engaging Black voters. smh

It’s clear they want to destroy the bill and don’t care what it does to Biden/democrats. A lot of big money is against the bill so naturally Manchin is against it. Will they ultimately vote for it? Probably. But this behavior has been unacceptable and clearly hurt Biden. This has been going on for months. Makes the president look weak and ineffective.
