Pitcher had a brain freeze. Goldschmidt was yelling at him to throw home as soon as Dom was called safe and he paused. You could see Goldschmidt hitting the as he threw home too late to get McNeil.

Gallegos left late from the mound to. He really fukked up with the mental mistakes.

Game was scoreless until the top of the 9th, got a chuckle out of that as Mets are not giving their aces run support again


Max stuck out 10, gave up only two hits and got no run support at least they won the game though.

Lineup and non pitcher personnel wise what the front office did was smart. Consensus was McNeil, Smith, Davis at least one if not all would be traded. Instead they kept them and put Davis and Smith on the bench. Let Conforto walk and replaced them with FAs they targeted. Didn't hear anyone floating that plan prior.

And if Davis or Smith can get it going they become trade bait at the dealine.

Wasn't too mad at that. Mikolas has good stuff and can shut an offense down. In the past it'd be some no-name holding us hitless for 7 innings against Jake before the bullpen would come in and blow it.

Shootout to Mark Canha for that at bat and getting that single to start stuff. He hasn't hit for much power but the man has good at bats. Arenado did make an error there but still.
