Cohen needs to pull the 18 million qualifying offer and offer him a 10 million dollar offer for the year. Throw in another 15 million in performance based incentives. I'll willing to give him a chance to earn whatever bullshyt Scott Boras gassed him up with
What? Why? We have a good lineup, we don't need him taking fast balls down the middle for strike 3. Work out your problems somewhere else, it's been real but we aiming higher nowadays.

I don't even know if you can "pull" the qualifying offer. I also doubt that would happen cuz after doing that, why would he still sign with the Mets? All of the other teams would easily pony up whatever since they wouldn't have to give up a pick. I'm 100% expecting some team to do it right after that or a desperate team saying fukk it before then. I think the former is more likely at this point now which is nuts.

I knows he’s still youngish but I got a bad feeling about degoat

these nagging injuries that never seem to go away, never seem to go away. Could derail him and the mets
Heard that's why they were so adamant on Scherzer, the Mets' confidence DeGrom will return to form and stay healthy for a long stretch isn't there anymore. They made plans and as you can see it's working! Best starting pitching in the league, anything DeGrom can contribute is just icing on the cake.
