Gotta say I really like this 2022 roster. I think it was
  • Genius just to keep Dom and JD as bench players and get better players for their positions.
  • Financially despite the larger payroll we don't have any super long contracts we got to worry about bogging us down for half a decade.
  • The diversity of position players is awesome. All 3 Starting OF can play CF
  • Speed, OBP, Power, Avg. all in our lineup with at least 2 or 3 who can do one of the listed
  • Rotation 7 Deep with guys I would like to see when healthy and the top 3 rank with any top 3 in baseball
  • Bullpen is just mediocre but plenty of different people can be used. Needs more experienced LHP and a better closer would be ideal.
If they don't do well this year Ineo7ld be very surprised.

Forgot about Lindor which could be problematic.

7 Years, $182 million.
Good for him but glad the Mets passed. Don't want him around that long.

Wish he would have come here, but nowhere near 7 years. The only of the Cubs plays that deserves 7 would be Baez and that's only cause of the age. Bryant might be only 30 but after his injury history he's probably closer to 35
