The QO during the 2020-21 off-season was 18.9M. If it increases for this Winter signing period, it'll be close to 20M, if not 20M.

If Cohen isn't going to spend money, then why is he the owner? If we're worried about numbers, you don't have a shot at Baez and Stroman; both of whom need to be resigned. It's not an either situation.

Unfortunately, firing Sandy really isn't an option. If he did who would be the highest ranking executive? The Mets are desperate for a president of baseball operation already. To have no prominent executive would make their desperation multiple by 10.

Baez has to hit free agency at the same time as a bunch of other top flight free short stops. If he were the only big time SS he blows past that number easy but we should be able to get him at a reasonable price because of the supply and the fact that he wants to play with Lindor

If Noah and Conforto want to go elsewhere, they have to sign Stroman AND find an arm that can be a 3 hole type guy. The OF market is terrible and with the Giants winning the West plus being a short trip to Vegas, you're going to have a very hard time prying Bryant from SF. Call up Khalil Lee as he already plays the corner. Castellanos is not a given.
