I remember prior to the 2015 World Series starting brehs was talking about going to the championship parade...... a few games go by it switched to I hope we don't get swept :damn:

:mjlol:

Can't lie I thought for sure we was gonna beat the Royals in 2015 (they lost in the world series the previous season) but then we lost in five :mjcry: Despite that the Wright Homerun, Harvey's performance in Game 5 was memorable in a good way.
That entire playoff run I had a feeling of "too good to be true"

Game 1, first pitch Cespedes botched the flyball resulting in an inside the park HR, I knew the same old Mets had returned.

Familia blowing the save, I shut my TV off right there and went to bed, I knew we were doomed.

This team needs to play with some urgency. They did this last year, "well we're still 5 games up" and thought the offense would wake up and it never happened.

The Braves will keep wining because these bum teams will give them the games, but with us even when teams give us wins we don't take it.

I turned the game on at 1:43 and they were already down 1-0, if they don't do shyt by the 4th inning its gonna be a long day.

Mets September collapse is in full swing folks.

The Mets really need to move McCann in the offseason. Whatever they get for him either keep or move that for a new catcher. OR bring up Alvarez and get a veteran backup catcher for him. Also get rid of Nido, they have to start with a clean slate next season in the catcher position. They have a total of 3 home runs this year from their catchers.

Sky is definitely falling... the Braves are 1 game back and they too have an easy schedule.
They do not have an easy schedule compared to the Mets lol. Just cuz we beat up the Phillies doesn't mean they will. Thats 7 games with them. 3 with us and 3 with the Mariners. We have 3 with them and a series with the Brewers who I'd say are worse than both of those teams.

But if you want to put on your doom shades, go ahead :yeshrug: .

I have confidence in them.

Atlanta's SOS is .480 and ours is .427... ours is "easier" but how did that go this past weekend? In case you missed it, they lost 2 of 3 to the lowly Nationals. While the Braves swept the lowly Marlins.

I don't want the last 3 games against the Braves to matter, division wise... do you?

I'll keep my doom shades on, you keep your rose-colored glasses on.

You are talking about one bad series.

And if I say we went 3-3 vs the Dodgers and Nats, it would be fine. Not great but fine. At the end of the day, they both still have to play the games. Are you banking on Pete and Lindor never getting hot again and the whole lineup remaining cold? Everyone keeps talking about this team like it's a bad team after one sloppy series in September when we are on track to win 100+ games. It's gonna be close.

The Braves have played .800 ball the last 25 games or something. I don't expect that to continue and if it does, it is what it is.

I don’t care about winning 100 games, the goal has and always has been to win the division. Then you go into the NLDS with your best possible rotation.

Also, I don’t know about you, but I’ve lived this in 2007 and 2008. They’ll make the playoffs, unlike those years, but I’d rather avoid the wild card round… and so would Buck, the FO, and the players.
