not what im saying. he was released in october 2022. damn near a whole year ago.

and why is it he was only able to entertain offers immediately before training camp missing out on essentially all of free agency?

suspensions aren't limited to clearly defined lengths anymore. NBPA is allowing the league to dictate when guys can and can't return, and in what capacity, in extremely loose terms now. its not getting talked about.
When he was released is irrelevant…it could just be that the nba’s investigation into the matter took this long.

What’s relevant is the suspension given after their investigation….4 games is as minor as it gets

If the nba believed all the accusations this woulda been either more severe or they wouldn’t mention it at all coz he would be blackballed

?

its definitely relevant lol unless the league specifically barred primo from speaking to teams to coordinate his return to the league

its not about 'believing accusations' and that's not at all what i alluded to either. these are clear, defined events that have already been investigated - which must occur for the team to issue a decision.

the gap in time between the original team's decision point and the league's suspension (which may or may not address time served) is the grey area that the NBPA has clearly decided not to address lately.
