I don't know how to quantify that. I think it's too high a cost, and she made a PR stunt of it, using the Kushners as a back channel.
One woman has a year to the President getting cases she seems important fixed, while black people on a whole need help and are still getting screwed.

It's all marketing.

My take away from the speech, Trump is making a huge push for minorities. I putting this in print, now that he is going to grow his numbers in both the latino and brehs during the next election and people will be shocked about the percentage he peels away from the Democrats . He isn't going to stop with this angle and push.

Even if he fails to get elected, republicans have made it clear that they are going after Latinos and brehs in a huge way.

Even though giving Rush probably the most racist mf, a presidential freedom of medal in the same speech was pure irony.

Ita gonna fail. Trump been doing sly things to persuade black voters to vote for him. Black folk, even the hard headed ones, are like :beli: for him to even try to do this ON ELECTION YEAR.

The midterm elections these last few years proven that black folk made all the difference with Trump candidates losing hardbody. Remember, an all-blue Congress means Trump automatically being :rip: and he will be removed instantly.

Black folk would be mothafukkin fools to accept an invitation from trump and the gop after the shyt they have shown these past 3 years
Dems have only themselves to blame for any lost black votes.
There’s no way a nazi looks like a better option than you unless you’ve screwed up.

stop getting your hopes up breh. Dems ain't losing Black votes in 2020.

Either they'll stay home or vote Dem.

The history of consistently low black voting for GOP candidates over the past four decades also underscores the structural challenge any Republican candidate faces in attempting to increase their black vote share. It's likely that black voters' enthusiasm and turnout in next year's election will be a much more important variable than the predictably high percentage of the vote black voters will give to the Democratic candidate.

My humble take from the SOTU, we saw Trump the showman, but what grinded my gears was how the Big Joker clearly highlighted a potential poach: black votes.

He (and/or) his staff clearly feel there isn't a Dem. Candidate who can maximize the enthusiasm or respect of the overall black vote. So big up Tim Scott, bring up the now-clean ex-Army contractor, the former Tuskegee airman (and make him a brigadier general to boot while next to his grandson), "give" a scholarship to the daughter of the single mother from Philly... Etc.

All this tangible talk and it's application to Nov, team 45 tipped their hat. They as of now think Bernie or Biden, and they addressed both tonight, in terms of a poach.

Need more time to process, but I don't feel any of these dem candidates understand the challenge they face with this cat, envelopes of cash aside.

Dems are playing checkers. :hhh:

I agree. They gathered years of demo research on "the blacks" from TLR, Lipstick Alley, and these stupid "pro-black" hashtags, and what they learned is that there's a good segment of very shallow black voters who completely lack critical thinking skills, passively side with Republicans by being exclusively critical of Democrats for attention, and are either ignorant or obtusely dismissive of widespread, long term public policy and how it influences, contributes to, and protects their every day life as opposed to a check. They can instead be easily bribed into voting Republican (or not voting) by touting short term "tangible" offerings that has no influence on society or government.

These shallow voters also apparently hold Trump to a much lower standard of "doing for us" than they do Democrats. Always eager to shout "Trump doing more for black people than Dems/Obama" for saying or doing just about anything (check Tariq Nasheed and his following). So they know they dont have to offer "reparations" because these wokey wokes clearly value the attention of shouting "Trump doing more for African Americans" than actually gaining anything.

Im pretty sure all that John Tanton sponsored ADOS astro turf shyt was mostly right wing research on black voters. ToneTalks wrote anti-Obama shyt for fukking NewsMax. Research and data expert Yvette Carnell was either fooled into being a director for a pro-eugenics right wing hate group, or she consciously sat on the board of a right wing hate group. Paul Sowers looming over the ADOS conference checking on us and what we "want." Folks ignored the shady rhetoric and background of these and other fake thought leaders. Everything they say and do points to the fact that they want to turn black voters away from voting Democrat ahead of elections. Nothing more.

Remember Republicans dont need the entire black vote or even most of it. Getting just a good 5-10% of us to commit to "not voting Dem" is all it takes to tip ab election to a Republican victory and re-elect Trump.

Years from now im sure well find out the extent the Trump campaign/right wing groups went to engineer black voter turnout, including fabricating "pro-black" social media movements steeped in right wing rhetoric to emotionally manipulate us into "making Dems earn our vote."

And all the folks pointing fingers at "agents" and cacs will just ignore it.

while I appreciate the quote, that was so well said, I have to respect it. We can play guineas, or respect the fact they have the knowhow to pull it off. This may be the race of our lives...but if enough of us, don't realize it. It's just a game...win or lose...with worthwhile impacts. Choose wisely. And stay focused. We are the low-hanging fruit...we are not the targeted. There's a reason for that....let us stay vigilant!

The economy is an illusion. Poor people are still poor. Working class are still seeing price hikes across the board for living expenses and their pay raises aren't countering it effectively.

Healthcare is still a mess too. Some of y'all sounding like Trump supporters in here. Most Americans are still struggling and are not seeing the benefits of this "great economy"

Thank You.
