My take away from the speech, Trump is making a huge push for minorities. I putting this in print, now that he is going to grow his numbers in both the latino and brehs during the next election and people will be shocked about the percentage he peels away from the Democrats . He isn't going to stop with this angle and push.

Even if he fails to get elected, republicans have made it clear that they are going after Latinos and brehs in a huge way.

Even though giving Rush probably the most racist mf, a presidential freedom of medal in the same speech was pure irony.

I really don't think Trump can go long enough without saying/doing some racist shyt to get a significantly higher percentage of the black/brown vote. I'm sure in the next 10 months there will be a police shooting, protest, white nationalist rally, or something where he won't be able to help himself.

But I can see him drumming up enough antipathy towards his opponent to convince people to stay home.

When he gets acquitted tomorrow, he won't be able to help himself doing something stupid in the coming days.

My humble take from the SOTU, we saw Trump the showman, but what grinded my gears was how the Big Joker clearly highlighted a potential poach: black votes.

He (and/or) his staff clearly feel there isn't a Dem. Candidate who can maximize the enthusiasm or respect of the overall black vote. So big up Tim Scott, bring up the now-clean ex-Army contractor, the former Tuskegee airman (and make him a brigadier general to boot while next to his grandson), "give" a scholarship to the daughter of the single mother from Philly... Etc.

All this tangible talk and it's application to Nov, team 45 tipped their hat. They as of now think Bernie or Biden, and they addressed both tonight, in terms of a poach.

Need more time to process, but I don't feel any of these dem candidates understand the challenge they face with this cat, envelopes of cash aside.

Dems are playing checkers. :hhh:
While the dems do have issues with lip service, anyone swayed by these gestures from the devil was just looking for a reason to vote trump. You can’t look at his response to Charlottesville and say “yea, this is my guy”

That said, if Pete is the nominee, well then I wouldn’t be surprised

As for the Latino vote, I’m already calling that growing more republican over the next decade, between some of them assimilating to whiteness, cultural conservatism, and south/Central Americans fleeing corrupt socialist governments (like the Cubans who fled communism and have a hate for leftist economic policy), Dems better stop acting like they’re locked up as part of the tent.

Trump got his 1st Gundam pilot. :picard:

And they even got the great-grandfather who piloted the Tallgeese. :picard:

100? Damn. He does look 80. :dwillhuh:

Brigadier General? Like Jack O'Neill? Damn, son. This Space Force shyt is real. :dwillhuh::dwillhuh:

Trump really out here like Oprah. He just gifted that girl a state scholarship? :dwillhuh::dwillhuh:

Ok. That vocational and technical education in HS is actually a good idea. :ohhh:

Permanent funding for HBCU. Also good.

I missed the Image Awards portion of the SOTU. From Shabba Ranks to Teal'c, it was certainly star-studded. :mjlol:

Man, can you imagine how these Progressives who claim Black women are the only true backer of Democrats (as if BM aren't 90%+ Democrat) are going to totally lose their shyt if even 7-10% of BM went to Trump?

There is a glaring problem with Trump's strategy though. His party is working fervently to block or suppress Black voters around the country but especially down south. Unless he thinks some middle class Blacks will be enough to carry him they are speaking out of both sides of their mouths here. If GOP started voter drives in rural or urban Black America, that would be all in.

Yeah Breh, how you doing? Happy New Year Wealth and Health to you and your family. Not in China anymore can't even type his name as the man in charge their has lost the plot.

Yeah its an ironic position he is putting out, but if he keeps on hammering away at it like that crazy ad he ran during the Superbowl,I foresee the needle moving.
Like tonight no matter how you feel about Trump, getting the Tuskegee Airman Charles McGee and hid grandson recognition was a good thing. That will start the sow the seeds of well he is 90% bad but maybe he is 10% good. That is all you need to make that idea grow.

How you gonna ROFL with a hollow back?

He never really stops, or tones it down. He thinks he is invincible now, so I expect that he is going to look at all the senator’s that supported this fukkface and start openly doing and saying shyt that will make them all look so fukking stupid, and it serves them all right.

not really..
Of course he benefits if a larger percentage of black voters vote for him

BUT he also benefits if a larger percentage of black voters don't vote at all. Get enough black folk to look at the repubs and dem's and chuck deuces.

and if he can pull off both...

All he had to say was, "African-Americans were treated so wrong. So so wrong. By the Demonic Democrats in the 90s. Just ask Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton. That's why. I will ask Congress. To pass a bill. So African-Americans can open marijuana shops and farms with free licensing and no fees.".

It don't matter whether that's bullshyt or not. That would have locked up Trump 2020 for sure.

Low-information voters are as diverse as any main street, and you'd be surprised.
Alls I'm saying, is Team Big Joker showed their hand. What Dem. candidate do you trust that can deftly counter that?

Not asking with grim intentions. Just asking as someone who understands how some can appreciate optics without context.

Not saying this was a great SOTU, by any means. Just offering my perspective on what I felt they were trying to accomplish.

We're lucky that the election isn't in a month but 9 months from now

His average approval rating is 44-45% with an average disapproval at 52%

If he reverts back to 42% approval with like 55% disapproval which is basically where its been his entire term, Dems got a real shot

Liz, but as you say, low information black voters aren’t listening to her because she’s not as familiar a name to them as Biden and sanders nor is she buying up all the ad space like Steyer and Bloomberg

and latino's don't really vote all like that. Dem's are playing themselves.. just looking at their increasing numbers, but not paying attention to what those people do/are gonna do.

Better get on that word-of-mouth advertising. She did great with black women at the beginning of her campaign. She shouldn't have let up.

At least you see it. I think at this point Trump's a favorite and the Dem nom is a heavy underdog. I'd be worried.
