My thing is a kid in the draft is a clean slate. A blank canvas. Darnold may already have been ruined. Will be hard to get him to unlearn a lot of the shyt he's experienced so far. Who knows? I wouldn't be upset, but not a 1st....maybe a 2nd that turns to a 1st if he plays more than half the season....something like that but I guess since there's competition we may have to pay a 1st or more to be in the conversation.

It’s definitely a risk. No doubt. Problem is, you guys are ready to win NOW. And he can run that offense in SF. Even if he plays well this year for y’all, it’s not like he can command a crazy contract. He won’t be a top lid QB in this league. So it might be worth it.
