Bernie's street team is more powerful than you can imagine. It does not matter that the traditional media is fawning over Warren. Things have changed. Television doesn't control reality the way it used to. People on the ground are making President Bernie happen.
You think this is about TV? I don't watch TV breh. :russ:

More people than him think that. Also, people still think you're not black at all.
This is a message board. IDGAF what idiots on here think. Especially when I literally think I'm better than a vast majority of the stuff that passes for sincere thoughts on here :picard:

On top of that, I've proven I'm black dozens of time.

Joe sees himself as a one term, stabilizing force that rebuilds our international relationships and puts in a tweaks here and there to keep things steady through tough times until 2024.

I think black people as a group, are more cynical about change than most, and fear that even if there is a super progressive Bernie or Warren-type option, they either won't beat Trump or that their progressive plans won't help them that much. Biden is the comfortable pick here. I think the same goes for independents and never Trumpers.

On the other hand, younger voters are more likely to think the bridge to 2024 is unnecessary and are ready for some different shyt to happen RIGHT NOW. I don't see Biden doing well with that crowd. Reddit hates dude almost as much as Trump. :heh:
This is a great post. But what does it say about these voters? They view their politics through a lense of repectability rather then results. We have to move beyond good enough as a county at some point no? I get the feeling that people think Biden is just trump toned down to 5.5/10. He's not help either with the gaffes that as people have said, would end a minority candidates campaign.

@tru_m.a.c might be one of the few people that's picked up on it, but I've moved further left from a staunch moderate position just from having a child who had to spend weeks in the NICU. Despite might experience turning out well, my interactions with the other families really opened my eyes. I had people I was with day in and day out get hit with crippling bills when one of their twins passed. I dunno, this country can afford better.

shyt, it shouldnt cost me near a condo just to get my son home. :francis:
I'm gonna be blunt: this is some Trump voter shyt right here and how the electorate at large votes/reacts. Didn't give a shyt until something directly affected you or people nearby. Beforehand your thoughts were "out of sight, out of mind," just like Trump voters who didn't care about his bullshyt when it hurt other people and complained when it finally reached them.

There's zero compassion in this country for others and the votes reflect that. If people cared, Bernie or Warren would get 90% of the vote.

We aren't conditioned to give a shyt about anyone outside of our circle in the United States. We only care when something tragic happens that gives us a story to connect to or to seem conscientious. Quietly, that's part of why I backed Warren because she appeals to a meritocratic sensibility that is built into American DNA. Her approach isn't as much of "shaming" people as Bernie's is (and that shyt is shameful).

I have insurance. Great insurance. Most of that cost was covered.

Doesn't change the fact that the costs are absurd.

Doesn't change the fact that if you spend any extended period of time in the NICU/PICU you spend a lot of time with people who are less fortunate and are severely affected by merely having a child. So my change is stance is more so about those interactions than my own.

Get them daps though. :heh:

You're proving my point. You are in a good situation with great coverage. That is the minority in this country and you only started to care when you saw others suffering first hand. You could not fathom that happening to someone else until you were actually around it and ignored it until then.

And you think Trump voters vote for Trump because they don't have first hand experiences? Specifically when we point out they're often voting against their own self interest?
