it's needed, but bernie isn't the candidate to make that happen. we can be idealistic or we can be realistic...
Is it realistic to nominate a centrist to beat Trump when Trump beat a Centrist to get in the WH? Strategy wise Bernie is the right play. We can worry about governance once he is in there.

Hilary didn't lose for being a centrist, yall keep conflating how she lost with her platform...she lost because she didn't spend time in an area she took for granted, furthermore, most of those people voted their race as opposed to their politics - stop it.

Bernie is not the right play, you can live in your self confirmed online zeitgeist or you can live in reality. In fact, I hope he does get the nom and gets his ass kicked so yall can stop living in this assumptive state.

A secret meeting of former President Barack Obama’s financial backers convened in Washington early this month: Organized by David Jacobson and John Phillips, Mr. Obama’s former ambassadors to Canada and Italy, the group interviewed an array of 2020 presidential candidates and debated whether to throw their wealth behind one or two of them.

Mr. Obama had no role in the event, but it unfolded in his political shadow: As presidential hopefuls like Senators Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, Amy Klobuchar and Sherrod Brown auditioned before them, the donors wondered aloud whether Mr. Obama might signal a preference in the race, according to three people briefed on the meeting, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

Lol y’all are so sad. Hillary shills online are losing their shyt right now. She lost because she was a shytty candidate who failed to energize anybody but the DNC didn’t care because she was “next”. Like they’re trying to do with Harris despite her past of being a “top cop” leaving many on the left wary. Vicious cycle. If one of those morons wins the Dem nom again and loses to Trump again will y’all finally start taking some of the fukking blame?

"Fukk the country! I'd just rather be right." Just wow. I guess the situation of Trump being president isn't as dire as everyone is pretending. lol

please don't mistake my ability to be objective in looking at her loss as being a shill for her. i would have been fine with someone else being the nominee in 2016 (not bernie), but she "won" it and got my vote...nothing more, nothing less. i didn't have a candidate in 2016...that year was pretty much like 04 to me, "meh"

It’s crazy to me that the folks who lost in such a humiliating fashion last go around can still act so high and mighty and pretend like they’re just so...right all the time. I mean I bit the bullet and voted for Hillary in the general. I mean that’s a no brainer. Yet these dudes here are acting like they’re all for everyone’s best interests while simultaneously saying they wouldn’t vote for Bernie in the general.

fukking stupid. Dems really bug me sometimes

It's just proof that the "party unity" lines they try and put out there are all bullshyt. They would rather a Republican than a Progressive. Progressives can't let up on either, we gotta keep applying the pressure.
