Yep. One of the most conservative Dems in the house based on voting record. I wonder if Bernie bros will go through her record like they did Beto. :jbhmm:
none of the lefties i listen to are supporting her like that at all, precisely because of her record, her pro torture stance, her affiliation with far right Hindus in India has been talked about. we are not hypocrites. i will say we prob would vote her in over a corporate dem but shes last place in terms of "progressives" which i dont even know if you can call her that

Sherrod Brown is starting to become the *potential* candidate I'm most interested in learning about. I actually like that he's taking a realistic stance on M4A. I'm not into candidates selling pie in the sky shyt that can't be accomplished in a four year presidency, likely not an 8 year presidency either. Cats want to see us take 10 steps left and do it all at once, that's not how it works :ld: Rather see a candidate come in and actually move the needle 3-4 steps as opposed to promising 10 steps and getting almost nowhere due to the level of opposition. Our move right wasn't just done in one fell swoop under Raegan (something many progressive tend to rely on as an argument for the need for a super progressive nominee), it continued through Bush Sr, Clinton and Bush Jr., it's going to take more than one presidency to course correct.
Supporting policies 60-70% of the country wants isn't radical. And making a drastic change has never happened so how do you know it doesn't work?
Giving the people what they want is too pie in the sky. :snoop: What's the point of politics again?

45,000 people die each year in the U.S. cause they can't pay medical bills. great freedom we have here

I've said it before but if Trump loses to some neo-lib dem that wavers off from their campaign promises best believe we are getting something worse than Trump and that will be Tom Cotton in 2024

imagine engaging in threads about who's more racist "black or hispanic people", using that coli thread as a measuring stick then calling someone a bernie bro

nope, black people are more racist as you can tell by this thread

imagine going in a thread about tinashe, post a comment dissing girls that are darker than her then turn around and call someone a bernie bro

Gimme chicks who look like Tinashe any day, y'all can keep so call black chicks

I fail to see the correlation with bernie bros and the coli being filled with black supremacist or that mixed chicks are goat but I'll let you cook.

So Bernie isn't good on race, but is he unequivocally bad on race?

Which of the 2020 candidates in this primary are good on race? Presumably Marianna Williamson and...?

I'm a Lex Luthor fan so this development changes things for me.

Bernie isnt bad on race. not saying hes perfect but they say that as they promote candidates who were pro prison bill. I mean biden literally wrote the bill, harris was a prosecutor that enforced it, etc. true bernie voted for it which I dont agree with because there was smthg else in the bill that he didnt want to vote no on, which btw why do they make bills like that? another thing that makes no sense. but yeah its just a cynical attack that hes bad on race because thats literally all they have, like last year nobody said oh bernie upstaged kenedy cause hes also a white man, but once its any type of minority, oh its cause bernie cant let them shine. foh, look at the attacks so far, calling him sexist, racist or russian ties. cause they have no argument against his policy proposals, too bad none of it is sticking

Because all they care about is performance and optics - real policy almost means nothing to these people. If Harris was a white male prosecutor and said the same things about truancy we all know there'd be a different conversation but they're weaponizing empty identity politics in power positions even if it demoralizes the larger group in said identity :francis:

also gotta remember that these ppl complaining about a live stream only exist online and their brains are irrevocably broken
