Nah. It makes sense. To go on there is to give credence to their blatant undermining of democracy. Fox news has crossed tons of red lines and no one has shown the courage to tell them 'no more'

Give credence? Fox News will be on air and people will watch it regardless of whether or not she goes on. Not going on looks weak as fukk. There isn’t any downside to it.

Is there any proof of this strategy working? Beto could have beat Cruz in Texas if he didn't waste countless hours campaigning in deep red counties. I don't think a Dem politician in America has courted the Fox News crowd to the extent he did. He went to every county in Texas twice (254 counties). He held a townhall in the most anti-Obama county in America (King County Texas). What did that get him? He underperformed in rural Texas counties compared to Obama. :wow:

The Fox News cacs are on code like a mfer right now. Ignore them and energize your base. How about a townhall on Telemundo? Dems better not take hispanics for granted because a lot of them are liking what's going on with Trump and anti-abortion laws.
The Beto thing is an apples and oranges comparison. I don’t think she should have a campaign strategy of focusing on trying to win over Republicans. We’re talking about one townhall offered by Fox News. Perfect opportunity to go there and tout the supremacy of your ideas AND call out Fox’s bullshyt at the same time on a platform they provide. There’s no downside to it.

you cannot actually believe this

if CNN can load townhalls full of opps, fox news will do that x10 and have every soundbite they need to demonize her to their base as well as the fringe. absolutely nothing to be gained from being on their network, her being out in the field face to face with trump/swing voters is a much more beneficial use of her time.

I cannot actually believe this? Do you know how ridiculous you sound?

Some of you sound like you literally live on another planet. Every single Fox News viewer 24/7 isn’t some MAGA rally attendee. I live in a conservative area and I actually talk to people and have changed their minds on issues by just exposing them to ideas that they’ve never heard. Everybody who might glance at Fox News occasionally isn’t some gung ho ass Republican politico. A lot of them have conservative leanings but don’t really know anything barely follow politics, and might turn on Fox News when they’re bored.

Like it or not, Fox has a major cable audience that does vote. There is absolutely potential gains and zero losses to be had. Plus going there and performing well can rally her base and strengthen her with independents if she goes there and whips ass and the clips are replayed everywhere. Turning it down is idiotic politics and validates the snowflake tag. You go in there and punch the bully in the mouth in front of everyone. Dems like running and losing though.

The New York Times
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez issued what was widely interpreted as an indictment of Joe Biden: “I will be damned if the same politicians who refused to act then are going to try to come back today and say we need a middle-of-the-road approach to save our lives,” she said. “That is too much for me.”

and she's out there face to face with those people, so again, how is going on fox - the network who is the extreme, regardless of if its viewers are or aren't - better than talking to them in person? you're acting like by not going on fox she chose to ignore them completely.

Warren shocked me with this move. As much as she gets into it with Trump, I thought she’d be foaming at the mouth to go on Fox News and shyt on him on his home turf AND have the chance to bring new voters to her cause. This sealed her not getting the nomination. If she scared to go to a mild townhall meeting on Fox News.....what will she do in a debate with Trump? Dems need somebody who not scared to fight Trump, not somebody who ducking.

Going on fox validates them. It gives them credibility they don’t deserve. They’re nothing beyond a fascist white supremacist propaganda network. They should be treated as such, no more credible than infowars. They won’t cover anything with honesty or integrity, so why act as if they will? Let those swing voters watch another network for more honest coverage than fox will give.

The people she’s talking to are not necessarily the same people she’s talking to in Mississippi or wherever. What about the casual right-leaning guy who barely watches politics but Fox is his go-to news network, and his wife and kids or whoever else is in the room when its on?

All I’m saying is there is only potential gains to be made by going on, not losses.
