I'm undecided, but honestly I might be tempted to vote for Beto for that reason even though I like Warren more on policy.

He did a good job actually turning out voters (especially millennials) last election and getting a lot of Dems elected in Texas, and turnout is what it'll come down to.

Obviously I'll vote Dem in the general election but Biden's only real appeal is that he's nonthreatening to old white people. I don't really see him turning out voters like that.

he will get most of the Black vote as well

aka the people who actually vote

Biden looks old, dry and haggard too. At least Warren has substantial policy behind her.

What makes you think Biden is one of them? He failed in 88 and failed in 08 too. He's shown that he's not changed much since then either. Right now he's coasting off being Obama's vp, but that's not going to help him much come debate time.
Him being VP is the biggest tool in his arsenal. Provides comfort and familiarity for a lot of voters who miss respectability in politics and on the world stage. Not to mention his experience exceeds everyone else running(foreign and domestic).

2020 Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders refused to grade former President Obama's presidency, but said that he'd get an "A+" when compared to President Trump: “Barack Obama was a very, very good president."

this is shaping up like it's going to be 2004 all over, after a "fake" loss in 2000 (2016), here we are in next election cycle where it's like "just vote for this plain oatmeal ass candidate (kerry/biden) because, no bush/trump"

that election is why i spent my 20's being apathetic to politics...and i'll be honest, obama only excited me because he was black :yeshrug: (and gave good speeches, won't take that away from him)

@tru_m.a.c I see your point on this horserace bullshyt now. The methodology on a lot of these polls is :deadrose:. Biden isn't winning a damn thing. Y'all need to stop :laff:.

Biden's only argument is that he is electable. But the only reason we think he is electable is because we've been told he is electable. This thread is trash right now.

and that's all the masses need to hear :ld:

i know it's "in" to make fun of the mass brainwashing that happens via fox news and properties on the right, but the left is no more immune. there's an online chasm of divided voters, and then there is the tv/radio mass media chasm of people who will fall in line for biden. :francis:

i'm really hoping this next year changes things, but i have such little faith

And what’s annoying me even more are the liberals talking about the Dem nominee HAS to pick a women as a running mate in order to win.

No the fukk they don’t :what:, the biggest haters of women are other women. 47% of white women voted for Trump compared to 45% for Hillary.

It will be worst with Warren, and a huge mistake for The Dem nominee to listen to this nonsense.

It’s like Progressives Dems living in another reality. They wanna run a candidate that makes them feel all warm inside despite da fact that Bernie/Kamala/Yang/Buttieg would get destroyed by Trump. The only silver lining is that Progressive Dems are all talk and don’t show up at tha booths.

i think we're also ignoring the difference between PRIMARY (more savvy voters) and GENERAL election voters

Also depends on who is still standing once voting starts. But in many states black voters will represent a significant bloc of votes - assuming you still have Sanders, Warren, Harris and Buttplug in the race (which I’m assuming they will stay in at least thru March). They are going to slice/dice the white vote. Biden will get old folks and a significant percentage of voters for whom electability is primary concern. Everyone else will be fighting for scraps.
