Long Twitter thread, but what y’all think of this brehs :patrice:

definitely need to end the reagan era, but having been in place for 2 generations and affecting the thinking of 3 generations of voters (boomers, x, and millennials), i do often doubt that it can be done in one election cycle.

that's one reason i'm going to give this biden campaign time, if it seems like he's running as a placeholder, to get trump out, while making way for a more progressive politician, or if his positions have become more progressive, i can't be mad. but if he's really running on the politics of himself and/or even the bill clinton years, then :francis:

but to me, it isn't realistic to think we go from reagonmics to warren/sanders in one jump. there are too many people who simply can't comprehend or remember how things were before reagan so in their mind, they are blocked from seeing the benefits/how it works, thus they won't vote for those people. we need two dem presidents in a row, hopefully both in power for two terms, to make the shift. reagan's plan only worked because he had bush lined up next and then clinton played right into their hands

This is actually how @BarNone moved me to Warren. He said she is the gap between the old and Sanders. At a certain point that wing is going to just collapse into one candidate to stop Biden at all costs.
