I have to admit, this is the first time I've seen Buttigieg in one of these town hall settings, and I don't get the hype. He sounds like a smart person, but who does that appeal to apart from rich white liberals?

His whole motto is less policy and more values..... ??????

He gives off a Martin O Malley kind of vybe. Idk man. If this is the nominee...lmaoooo

Listen to him talk about his time in government with executive experience.

He's talking about resolving issues and day to day affairs.

That attracts people who like measured on the job executive experience.

How old are you? Do you work?

Buttigieg appeals to technocrats who are center-left but business friendly

Warren appeals to technocrats on policy who are on the firm left.

Warren is operating in a space Sanders created in '16 but Sanders is also benefiting heavily by running in '16. He was able to build a cult of followers off the hatred and disdain for Hillary Clinton. That gave him a head start on fundraising and name recognition over Warren. It's probably the only thing separating the two right now because Warren on paper is the better candidate. If Warren ran in '16 she'd probably be in the lead right now.

You have propped up every non-Sanders candidate at various points from Beto to Biden and now Warren -- every time it involved a critique of Bernie. You've got me--a guy who has donated twice to Warren--defending Sanders. You don't see how that is a problem? If you like Warren then Sanders should be your clear number 2. The fact that he isn't says something.

Son just got on that stage today and said that "we don't disagree on much." What are you mad at him for? Diminishing what he did in 2016 to "Clinton hate" is embarassing and below you. If nothing else, that guy is one of the most consequential senators of this decade for making medicare for all, the green new deal, tuition-free college and being anti-war platforms a major candidate can run for. He pushed the overton window further left than any Democratic candidate in most of our lifetimes. He deserves respect for that alone.

Nah, Gov O’Malley was speaking in way more platitudes and also had the stench of taxing Marylanders more than they wanted to be taxed. And of course Baltimore.

Pete won't last long. He is having his moment. Mark my words. Pete isn't beating Bernie or Liz in New England. He's not beating Sanders or BIden in Iowa. He's not beating Harris in California. He will do alright in Nevada. He's not going anywhere with southern black folks and he's not more beloved by the midwest than a lot of people. Dude has 0 path to victory. I said the same thing about Beto.
