Moderates led the charge against the public option. People like Ben Nelson, Mary Landrieu and Joe Lieberman were the loudest opponents.
Yes? Progressives in the senate were the ones pushing the most to pass a bill w/ a public option.
Path to public option still uncertain
That’s it??? Come on now man. Don’t act dumb.
White liberals refused to vote for the public option, if it wasn’t implemented in the way they wanted

. Which was a 100% government owned public option.
“Health Care for America Now said the nonprofits were not a sufficient alternative to a robust public option, but the Medicare buy-in is.”
“It was hard to find anyone who knew the details of the agreement and even harder to find someone willing to sign off on it, despite the fact that some senators and a few liberal House members sounded open to the package.”
in fact, moderates were going to pass a plan that kept the jobs for ppl in the health insurance industry. By only allowing “non profit” plans to participate in the public option.
An option that we actually got a moderate republican senators to sign off on. Which was a step further than what “Medicare advantage” currently is, which currently is a collaboration with the private health insurance industry to run Medicare.
guess who killed that shyt within our own party, with a it’s my way or the highway approach
The ppl y’all support
It’s time to air out the dirty laundry. Gloves are off. Welcome to the new race
it’s time to start exposing some “do nothing wrong bc I’m trying to do the best for society in the way I want” liberals out here.
The lies must stop
