I won't lie. It keeps defenses on it's toes and we've even scored off of it. But I have no doubt that if Mariota was a regular backup and not in this particular (special) situation, they wouldn't do it as much.

This makes me wonder if the league just ebbs and flows...you start passing the ball so much that the defense starts developing and drafting the 2nd level up to stop the pass, and suddenly you can exploit the game with power running given the defensive personnel.
