be careful, they'll call you a militant if you keep on like this :lupe:
I'm white and the nominees list this year is really suspect.

No lead actor for Creed? Nothing for Sam Jackson?

Lots of other snubs too. I hope Chris Rock speaks on it if he still hosts. Does anyone know how many slots are allowed? It seems like there's a ton for best movie, but not so much for the others. It's usually 5-6 right? I'm all for Leo finally getting something but 100% honest, Michael B. Jordan's performance in Creed was way better than leo screaming and grunting in the wilderness. I liked The Revenant too, but Tom Hardy even crushed Leo in that movie.

I can understand Will Smith since the movie didn't get the best reviews.

Low key Sam Jackson was sort of snubbed as well. Could make the case he was better than Cranston.

Never thought of it outside just acting categories :ohhh:

"This year, Alejandro González Iñárritu, director of "The Revenant," was the only non-white person to be nominated for anything this year at the Oscars. I'll repeat that in a different way. It's 2016, and there is only one non-white person to be nominated for anything"

So his piffness transcended racism and even made the racist academy kiss the ring :wow:

the only black actor that deserved nomination is idris ok

lets be real

coogler and jordan were straight but come on

average ass performances

stop pushing for mediocrity. doing idris an injustice thinking every black person in a movie deserved an oscar.

If you think you're lonely now, ohhh girl...
Michael B. Jordan didn't have an Oscar worthy performance. I'm sorry, brehs. :yeshrug:

Watching Creed I kept thinking how a "better" actor would have really killed that role. How he would've brought something almost elemental out of that character. The connection between two men who are divided by time and death, but undoubtedly bonded by the same forces. How there are somethings we can't escape in life and even in death. Jordan took no chances and all lines are delivered by him with basic perfunctory. I really want him to be a great actor. But, I don't see it, yet. Maybe as he gets an little older he'll have the gravitas to really nail this kinda stuff. Even the big, "I gotta prove it," moment of the film is delivered on some :ehh: shyt.

I hate to do it, but Nate Parker would've killed that role, dug it up, shot it again, and cremated it. :wow:. I wish he got more work, but I know he's doing his Nat Turner biopic and seems to be taking direction of his own career -- which is awesome.

Stallone was really good. He deserved his nod.

Idris and Sam were legit robbed.
