I wouldn't say all that. It's only oscar bait because of the names attached to it. But then again, I love a good Cold War story and this was a great one not a mediocre one.

I just noticed no love for Ridley. I figured he was a shoe in too. With that said, I think this clears the way for Miller to take the best director trophy. Clearly the directors in the academy agreed with you

Star wars was always a longshot breh and the only reason it'd get nominated is because its the biggest movie of all time now. That's not really a snub in my opinion. Straight Outta Compton is a snub. Star Wars is a "yeah that would've been nice"
