Academy cacs are scared of black people. Wiz should have gotten the nom, but them cacs don't want his dreadlock weed smoking ass walking down that red carpet. Same with Ice Cube and Dre. Ever since Three 6 Mafia won the Oscar, they been scared to invite any rappers back.
Common won last year though

The fact that Idris Elba didn't get nominated for beasts of no nation is some bullshyt. The little kid in that movie should of got nominated too. At least Leo will win his first Oscar. And Sly probably will get best supporting.

Crimson peak not getting production and costume nods is absurd as minor as they may be.

:mjlol::mjlol:

How does Straight out of Compton and Creed's only nominations go to white people. :mjlol:

No best picture noms? :mjlol:

But if they made yet another slave movie about massa Brad Pitt having to bail us out or Denzel as a crooked cop they would be the greatest movies ever to these CACs:francis:

If black actors really wanted to make a stand they'd stop going to these white approval shows anyways, the host included and really pump up the black award shows. But they won't because they just want to be loved by those with pale skin :francis:

But we all know this isn't going to happen, we look at the already established organizations like there can never be another to rival it.. They feel like well if we start our own awards it wont reach as many people and they only care about getting attention from the masses

The academy is an absolute joke. Youd think it was still in the 40s.

94% white,76% men and the average age is 63 years old.

Oscar Voters: 94% White, 76% Men, and an Average of 63 Years Old

:mjlol: @ that demographic getting to choose what the noms and winners are when the US demographic looks nothing like that.

When I read the list of nominees I wasn't even surprised, I think at this point we have to keep it 100. Like look at the movies that get nominated, most of them don't even come out they just get sent out at the end of thte year and the voters love them cause they are fresh on their mind, those movies are almost always dramas and are never anything that will do numbers.. Now can you tell me why the grammys only nominate the artists that sales the most and get the most spins on the radio, while the best rappers albums be the underground stuff, but the Oscars are the exact opposite, the most popular movies almost never win Oscars...

Moral of the story is this show is not only for white movies, its not for the general movie watching public. I'm overseas and everyehere I go I see a "straight outta" t- shirt, that movie deserves an award its clearly popular on a world wide scale.. These voters only care about what THEY like not what was actually the best

'Bridge of Spies' over 'Creed' or 'Ex Machina'? No 'World of Tomorrow' for best animated feature?

In a perfect world, it's a 3 way between 'Room', 'Mad Max' and 'The Revenant', for Best Picture and Best Director, but in true Academy fashion, 'The Big Short' and 'Spotlight' are gonna pick up the most wins.

:francis:
Just saw Room. Its really good..

not sure its Best Picture. I could possibly see a nom. But naw it wasn't better than Beasts of No Nation or Creed.

I guess SOC should have gotten a nom for best movie (movie was great and had a great topic) but Creed was just another boxing movie

Nah it had far more depth to it than that breh.
Damn this year they kept it straight:mjpls:

And has anybody seen "Brooklyn":what:

That movie got a 98% on RT. So it's probably really good...

The fact that Idris Elba didn't get nominated for beasts of no nation is some bullshyt. The little kid in that movie should of got nominated too. At least Leo will win his first Oscar. And Sly probably will get best supporting.

People were hyping the kid from Room over Attah from Beasts of No Nation. Both performances required different things. Attah should have had more hype imo. He maybe changed throughout one movie than anyone all year.

I guess I'm the only one who doesnt see how SOC or Creed were snubbed. I dont see how either was Oscar worthy. But then again neither was Spotlight or Fury Road. This was just a very weak year.

I'd only argue that Beasts of No Nation was definitely snubbed for best picture. And Abraham Attah was definitely snubbed for best actor. That kid was excellent. And if Mark Ruffalo and Sylvester Stallone(and I thought he did great) can get in for their roles then Idris definitely got snubbed for supporting actor.
