Too each his own but the 2018 class is as weak as I've seen in awhile and the 2019 class is as good as I've seen in awhile imo

I got to agree. There is maybe 4 legit prospects and of them only Porter looks like a sure thing (and I like Ayton, Bamba, and Doncic a lot). From 5 on they look like Roleplayers

One of the what's on draft podcast cats were talking on twitter a few weeks ago and mentioned that Porter Jr's lack of ability to create shots or get assists is a cause of concern.

Thoughts?

I'd agree with that, those are two things that worry me about him too. The more tape I watch the more I dislike Porter.

I dint care about assist numbers. Just make the right pass and he's good. As far as shot creating, he's a little stiff and his handle needs to get better but dude can create his own shot.

He gets by with his height, he can't create space at all.

Porter Jr is going to have no troubles creating his own shot. C'mon now. He can slash and knock down pullups all day.

He isn't a first option but a great second option. He will be able to play off-ball. If you expecting him to be a guy to run your offense through and create for others then you have misevaluated his value.

That's an advantage he'll always have. His size will be a mismatch vs 3s. His mobility will be a mismatch vs 4s. And he has that step back that can create a ton of space. As his handle gets tighter he's gonna be creating even more space. I don't see shot creation being an issue with him at all. Dude averaged like 35 this year can score on every level. But I am an admitted Porter stan so I might just be biased

I think if a guy isn't necessarily that type of create offense wing that they get knocked unfairly at times. While those potential primary handler wings get a lot more leeway with their faults like Doncic.

People are obsessed with finding the next first option instead of the best fit. In todays game, you need guys who can finish plays off-ball and can move up and down positionally.

There's maybe 2 or 3 guys a generation who could be first options on title teams so yeah if you're looking for that most drafts you're probably not gonna find that player
