Can't wait for next years class

They'res 6 or 7 guys who would be easily top 3 this draft and could make a case to be 1 if they were in it this year

I'm not super high on Giles especially after 2 torn ACLs but Tatum, Monk, Jackson are all nice(as far as top pick potential). Plus there is another 15 guys or so who are lottery level talents plus others will emerge I'm sure

Plus guys like Fox Smith and Ball. And you have a few foreigners who could be high picks

@Malta @tremonthustler1 and all my other draft guys..
What you think about Jakob Poeltl?

The recent comparison that would prob come up is Alexey Len. Poeltl doesn't look as big as Len and he prob doesn't have as much defensive potential but he is a lot quicker and more mobile. It's incredible how much he has improved not just over the summer but even throughout the season. 29/11 last night in overtime win over Cal to go to Pac12 finals.
He is a good not great rim protection prospect. Not sure about his wingspan to height ratio. He does have good feet, should be able to switch out On smaller guys for a few secs if necessary
On the other hand he clearly will never be a shooter and likes to score from the post. I'm not sure he will ever be good enough for a successful NBA team to run the offense through him.

So i guess my question is is he worth a top 5-7 pick or would you wait til late lottery maybe even 15-19 before you get him?

He is the prospect in this draft I'm most split on

I don't see the Alex Len comparisons that much, he's more like Jokic than he is Len, Len needs to add more mass, Poeltl looks strong enough right now to be effective in the league. He looks like one of those guys that will make up for lack of length (7'1" wingspan) by always being in the right spot for the board or always in the correct spot to score.

He looks surprisingly quick when he puts the ball on the floor and seems like he's a quick second leaper. I think it depends on who's picking, the Pelicans need a player like him and if they have the 7-9 pick I wouldn't really bat an eye if they took him, because they aren't getting a better center in FA and they definitely wont find anyone in the 2nd round like him either.

I keep comparing him to Luc Longley though I may be a bit unfair there with him. His mobility is impressive and he'll have his moments assuming someone can mold his offensive game. To me, he's the best center available, and if I'm Boston in the top 5 I take a long look at him because they need size and whether he starts or comes off the bench he'll be useful.

It's a crap year for true centers though but he'll have the highest profile.

I like the Jokic comp even thou Jokic is clearly ALOT better in almost every way rn but his success is a positive indicator for Jakob

I can see a scenario where Dunn falls to 10. Probably not lower than that, but very possible.
I've really cooled off on him the last few weeks. He isn't all that athletic. He is alright but not John Wall more like Mudiay. Except he is 2 years older than Mudiay and only a few months younger than Valentine and Hield.
I like his length, court vision and defensive playmaking but I'm not sure he will be a good enough shooter and cut down on the turnovers to the point where he can be truely successful. Real disappointing lack of improvement after a strong start to the season.

It's also a lack of a need for a PG amongst these really bad teams

I think he'd fit well in Philly but Philly would have to fall to 3 or 4 to consider him.

LA has Russell
Phoenix has a clusterfukk at PG which they won't add to
Boston has Thomas
Minnesota has Rubio
Denver has Mudiay
Toronto has Lowry
New Orleans has Holiday (this is only a possibility if they get sick of Holiday getting hurt)
Sacramento's a possibility if Rondo walks (very possible)

that leaves Milwaukee

that and 2017 will have a strong rookie class at PG, so Dunn better gear up for a strong tournament to get teams to reconsider.

@labelplant who of the top 15 in the upcoming draft do you see making the most money for themselves during the A.Tournament and B.Workouts.
