2015: The Year of "Back To The Future II" (JAWS Part 19??)

Just another reason this is a Classic Trilogy. We are in 2015, Marty will travel from 30 years in the past from 1985 this Oct 21st. But now when he comes, it will be a new timeline, LOL. Anyways, the movie actually got a few things right. Ironically it claimed there will be a "Jaws 19". Well the series stopped at Jaws 4 in 1987. But this year in 2015 we are getting "Star Wars 7", "Mad Max 4" and "Terminator 5" so that's a Close enough prediction. The OG film is Legendary no doubt. But Part II was a great sequel that got some hate at the time. So cool to be in 2015 having grown up with this movie:

(Jaws The Revenge aka Jaws 4, was the last released Jaws Film in the franchise. It came out in 1987 two years before "Back To The Future II" predicted there would be 15 more sequels, lol)

(The 7th Episode of Star Wars is the sequel of "Return of the Jedi" released 30 years ago)

(Mad Max 4 is the first sequel in the franchise in 30 years)

(Terminator 5 is the first time Arnold is playing the role in 13 years)

(Creed is the first Spin Off in the Rocky Franchise and is techinically the 7th Entry)

(Jurassic World is the 4th Installment of the Franchise and the first film in 14 years)


(Star Wars, Rocky, Mad Max and Terminator were all franchises before the original "Back To The Future" was released. All of them have sequels in 2015)


The point of saying "Jaws 19" is that "Back To the Future II" predicted hollywood's obsession with overdoing it with Blockbuster sequels. By 1989 there weren't that many sequels as they are today in Hollywood. Also by having the Holographic 3D Jaws, it also talks about Hollywood's future obsession with 3D.

I'm gonna catch hate but I enjoy this one more than the original for some reason. Still love the original and know it's a classic but I like the somewhat darker tone of this one.

No hate this way. I enjoyed the 2nd one better myself. I actually went to the movies to see the second one and I remember all of the hype that came from it. They were doing specials on HBO and had me convinced that hover boards were real and actually coming out. The shyt was amazing seeing their perception of the future. I might as well thought it was gospel. Amazing childhood movie.

The 2nd one was more creative than the 1st for sure. But the 2nd one kinda rehashed the 1st movie a little with him having to go back into 1985. My favorite scene though was in Part II when Doc sent Marty back to the future and then Marty comes running back. Such a cool scene:
