Willie Cauley-Stein will work out for the Knicks on June 16, a source told SNY.tv.

The 6-foot-11 former Kentucky big man has added 22 pounds of muscle and his vertical is up to 42 inches, the source said.

Cauley-Stein had initially said at the NBA Draft Combine he would work out for New York last month following the combine.

“I love it, I respect Melo and the way they’re running things over there,” Cauley-Stein said of Carmelo Anthony and the Knicks, who own the No. 4 pick in the NBA Draft. “It’s a matter of time before they begin to get back on the top.”

As for potentially teaming up with Anthony, Cauley-Stein likes the idea.

“I think it could be a good fit,” he said. “I respect Melo’s game a lot. I look at a lot of his stuff, and footwork-wise I think I could learn from him really well and I think we could complement each other offensively, defensively. The way we could play off each other, the sky’s the limit on how it could go.”

Probably some agent smoke blowing there to some degree..will have to wait and see i suppose. Article/source didnt clarify exactly from what point that weight was added. I guess its implied since combine but thats highly unlikely. could be from a random playing weight in college or some shyt

And maybe he is eating HGH for breakfast :manny:

he did play football in high-school so its not like bulking up is exceedingly foreign to him.

I still can't trust no brother that changes his name to "Trill". Dude is gonna be an enigma if he lands in New York - the contrasting views of him is gonna be comedy.

Mudiays shooting isn't great but not horrible, it looks like he improved from what I saw in China. What worried me watching him play is TOs, if people think Russell overdribbles, same applies Mudiay plus he just makes some questionable decisions and forces things. If he gets big minutes and plays called, i wouldnt be surprised if he approaches 5 turnovers a game or something ridiculous like that.
I'm not trying to hate on the guy, i hope I'm wrong and I could be since i haven't seen him play in a while but from what I saw I just wasn't impressed.
He does seem quicker than tyreke and more physical/stronger than Jrue but both those guys were more polished at a similar stage

Someone on realgm said he spoke to Robert UpShaw and he says the cavs promised they'd pick him at 23. One slot earlier than the grizz slot where dx has him.
There's also heart issues being broadcasted but apparently those have always been there and he's been previously cleared to play. Maybe it's a screen to make sure no one picks him for mutual agreement to last till the cavs pick.

Then on nbadraft. Net some dude said cousins and ja okafor played against each other and cousins almost fought him cause of how okafor was out playing him.

Don't know if both stories are true but thought it'd put it out there. They both seem plausible to me. I like watching draft guys play against already pros. Gives a good concept of where they'd be

He'd be a decent fit for CLE..especially due to his character red-flags..which seem to be getting more red with every report..LeBron should be able to keep him in check..
