Could be another Joel Embiid situation where someone has a late growth spurt and explodes on the scene out of nowhere.

Or, Joel could stay healthy and be the Prince of Post :to: he's another massive center (Nerlens is taller than Dwight)

Any chance Oak our Towns continue to grow? I swear I saw somewhere that Doctors had estimated Oak to go to like 7'1". Of course that's never an exact science

There's always the chance, Embiid had a monster growth spurt that took him from around 6'7" to 7'0" in 3 years, Gobert went from 6'8" to 7'1" in like a year. If it happens it's usually sudden, and also brings some health problems with it.

Brehsident evil
In the current league they don't need to be taller.. Centers are now glorified 4.. Just need to be strong enough to hold their ground on a lateral..

But everyone wants a center who can stretch on offense

Swear I'm not affiliated with Grantland but read the article I posted a few posts above. It ties into all this.
because I've been thinking throughout the season and playoffs.. I think Draymond has been one of the 15 best players in the league over the past year. I've been trying to figure out, exactly what it is that makes him so valuable... I mean he averages like 14/9 is a great passer but not like an all time passer. A little overrated as a defender imo, as great as he is, Bogut is clearly the anchor there. Solid shooter but not amazing. But his versatility is what makes him great. It's a good read.

Swiss army knife. Just like Diaw but with more heart and younger (less of a passer and probably less clever)

Before, they were "tweeners" and unimaginative shytty coaches drove them out of the league

all praise be to pitino and don nelson :blessed:

anthony mason might be in the conversation for GOAT at that though. gotta think about it im drunk :patrice:

yeah.

i mean, to me, its common sense. for the majority of nba history, most of the 6'10+ guys were less versatile and mobile while being more brutish than in today's nba...that allowed there to be more distinct positions...now, there is more versatility across the board so that diversifies positional usage on both sides of the court
The day everybody embraces positionless basketball :blessed:
