Eight members of South Carolina’s 21-man signing class have yet to enroll in school, and the Gamecocks are resigned to the fact that not all the remaining players will qualify, recruiting coordinator Steve Spurrier Jr. told The State on Wednesday.

Defensive ends Dante Sawyer and Kalan Ritchie have previously announced they will not meet qualifying requirements and attend junior college with the hope of re-signing with South Carolina. The USC options for defensive end signee Jhaustin Thomas appear to be done after he failed to qualify from his junior college.

Cornerbacks Wesley Green, Chris Lammons and Darin Smalls, fullback Joe Blue and defensive tackle Dexter Wideman still are trying to meet qualifying standards in time to join the Gamecocks in August

As he prepares to take part in the annual Manning Passing Academy down in Louisiana, Oregon Ducks QB Marcus Mariotatells NFL.com he is still undecided on if he'll leave college for the NFL following next season.

"The opportunity to leave is there, but at the same time, college is fun and I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet," Mariota said.

Whats crazy, I could actually see dude staying one more year. I highly doubt Mariota is not going in the draft next year. But if there was one dude I would hedge my bet on, it would be Mariota. Hawaiians just do there own thing..

I just got done with the Bron decision. Now i gotta worry about the Mariota decision?!

The only way i would want him to leave if my Eagles had a shot at him. But other then that stay the full five years Mariota.

Bra people are really down playing the Ducks this year. The Ducks are legit, again. The next couple years is worrisome, but this year I am pretty pumped. The O will roll, it always does. But I really think the Ducks D is going to surprise this year. I think Coach Pellum is the change we needed. I don't want to be a hater after the fact, but Nick was calling some bad games last year.

At the very least we have the best dressed DC in the Nation.

Bra people are really down playing the Ducks this year. The Ducks are legit, again. The next couple years is worrisome, but this year I am pretty pumped. The O will roll, it always does. But I really think the Ducks D is going to surprise this year. I think Coach Pellum is the change we needed. I don't want to be a hater after the fact, but Nick was calling some bad games last year.

Yea they are sleeping on us after Stanford has beat us these past two years. But thats cool with me. The only things i really worry about is the WR position & being more physical on defense & up front especially. That is where i hope coach Pellum changes that. Because thats where we were beat the past two seasons. In in that Arizona beat down. They ran all over us. We need Armstead & Buckner to both step up.
