I wish I could explain further but I don't know anything about construction and if you read skyscrapercity I'm pretty sure you know way more about that type of stuff than I do. :lolbron:

Man, I don't know what the hell those dudes are talking about half the time on there. And I don't know shyt about construction either. I just like looking at the pictures. :heh:

It's gonna be Auburn vs everyone if @Rigby. keep talking the type of shyt he been talking in 2014.

It's funny the one fanbase that i don't see getting dissed on here is Oregon I only see @Silkk throw a little something their way every blue moon.
I'm the only one that talks them down, just because i like to remind them who they REALLY are...but then I go to an oregon game every year and don't hate on the crowd at all :heh:

oregon fans are annoying but NO WHERE NEAR the level of any SEC school, as USC fans when they're hot [next level] and texas an osu....i imagine michigan fans can get under your skin too :youngsabo:

Been following Houston, Baylor and A&M's construction on skyscrapercity. Baylor and Houston's are looking good, but A&M :snoop: That stadium went from butt ugly to pig assed ugly. I knew the renderings weren't pretty, but cotdamn. :russ:

I realize most here are only interested in schools that are in the Autonomy 5 conferences but I didn't want to start a new thread and figured some are interested in things like new stadiums, uniforms, etc. I'm sure many are aware that Baylor is finishing up a new $250 million stadium but Houston and Tulane are also opening new stadiums. I can't speak for Tulane but we (Houston) spent less than half as much as Baylor on our stadium at about $120 mil. Unfortunately that's what happens when one school spends two decades in a power conference as opposed to CUSA. Baylor's stadium will also hold 45,000 compared to ours which will hold 40,000 plus standing room. I only bring up Baylor to give some context of the financial limitations that most schools that aren't in a major conference have to deal with.

With that said TDECU stadium is nearing completion and I brought some pics and a quick video:

Just a few more quick notes: The playing surface is field turf with the 'HOUSTON' endzone featuring an image of the city's skyline and the 'COUGARS' endzone has the school's logo. The team will have the option of entering the field from the tunnel or walk thru the crowd. When walking thru the crowd they will pass the club section that is separated by glass similar to how the Dallas Cowboys walk past fans as they take the field. In addition to the club section, which will take up an entire level on the home side, there will be party decks for large groups and an open concourse so fans can see the field while they stand in line at the concession stands.

If you're in H-town this fall slide thru the Tre and come enjoy a game. We have great tailgating, Frenchy's chicken, sell beer in the stadium, and of course we got some bad Houston women.

That's dope breh. I'll always consider myself an honorary Cougar b/c that was my 1st school choice and I got accepted there, went to visit and everything but changed my mind almost at the last second.

I hope this helps y'alls recruiting for future success, it'd be great to see an improved U of H in the Big 12 someday. A nice, new stadium is definitely a bargaining piece :salute:

According to our insiders our biggest advocates in the Big 12 are both Oklahoma schools. I have a lot of respect for both schools since they have no problems playing us. Not to mention the only reason we signed Charles Sims is because Stoops put in some good words for Sumlin and the school. Hopefully when we play in 2016 it will be mutually beneficial considering the three other big games that weekend in state. Should be a good game too as O'Korn and Knight will be senior quarterbacks.
