Mamba Mentality # Kobe&GiGi. #LakerNation #LWO
:heh: I watched a couple Ducks games. Carrying your squad as a WR is harder to do than as a QB. MM has the ball in his hands every play, he's gonna get an opportunity every down to make something happen. I know their line was shyt this year he played lights out I give him that and have said that in the past many times. but Amari is the reason bama offense goes touching the ball less than marcus. it's EASY for a QB to make an impact harder for a WR to. Watch how much bama o depends on him More than MM

Bruh... Be glad that Amari got an invite. Sammy did the same thing last year for Clemson and didn't even get invited.

I still feel like CJ Spiller got robbed his Senior year. Nobody... I mean no damn body carried a team the way he did that year. That was Dabo first year with him and Billy Napier (who's on y'all staff currently) calling plays at what seemed randomly that they drew on the sideline ground with a stick. Team was injury riddled & the WR sucked with only a freshman Nuk Hopkins there.

@Rekkapryde

I felt bad for him that season. He had 5 kick returns for tds also

USC sending 2 next year :win:

Clemson finally sending one.... D DUBB 4 Lyfe:myman:

Damn Auburn player got shot and killed

AUBURN -- Auburn freshman football player Jakell Lenard Mitchell has been shot and killed at an apartment complex near the Auburn University campus.

Auburn Police Capt. Will Matthews tells The Associated Press that police responded at 12:25 a.m. Sunday to a shots fired call the Tiger Lodge apartment complex, where the 18-year-old Mitchell was found. Mitchell was later pronounced dead at a hospital.

Matthews says an investigation is ongoing and no suspects are in custody

Mitchell redshirted this season for the Auburn Tigers out of nearby Opelika High School. He was expected to contend for a starting spot next season at H-Back and tight end.

Mitchell missed his senior season at Opelika as he recovered from an ACL injury. He rushed for 392 yards and 17 touchdowns in 2013 as a junior.

Here is a report from the Auburn Coroner's Office:

"Auburn Police and EAMC EMS received a 911 call early Sunday morning at about 12:28 AM to a possible gunshot victim. The incident occurred at a residence in the 200 block of West Longleaf Drive in Auburn. Eighteen-year-old Jakell Lenard Mitchell, of Opelika was rushed to East Alabama Medical Center by ambulance with apparent multiple gunshot wounds and died shortly after arrival at the emergency room from his injuries. Due to the ongoing investigation no other information is being released at this time. The death is being treated as a homicide and Mitchell's body has been taken to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences medical examiner's office in Montgomery for a postmortem examination. Mitchell was an Auburn University student and a member of the Auburn football team. The case remains under investigation by the Auburn Police, Lee County Coroner's Office and the Alabama Dept. of Forensic Sciences. Anyone with any information concerning this incident is asked to call the Auburn Police Department."

im not salty at all. you don't even understand the argument i'm trying to make. He played lights out out but he wasn't head and shoulders above every player like that. ONLY cause he was a QB was he perceived as that. Coop did more for his team than MM did but it all gets thrown by the wayside because he's a WR and not a QB
I saw that & just realized you are more salty then i thought. You realize that Mariota broke the record for TDs accounted for, right? So exactly how did Cooper do more for his team again? :leostare:

After watching The U part 2 last night, and getting into a conversation with Bomani Jones, it hit me that Nebraska have not won a conference title since 1999. :mindblown:

We were debating when Nebraska's football program died. He claims it was the National title game that year, but for me it was 62-36 in Boulder. But they have not won a conference title since 1999. NEBRASKA. :damn:

some players fit better at certain places. I dont think Sam Bradford got any offers either elsewhere. And if I'm correct he was ike a 2-star recruit

He was a 3star. Had a few more offers but yes, very under recruited for the player he turned out to be in college

Nebraska passed the torch to Oklahoma and Stoops in 2000 and the 01 loss to CU by 26 was the end. That 01 Nebraska was weak the 2000 team was better they just had a cherrypick schedule and was able to slide into November undefeated but CU and Chris Breezy gave them that work.

Ever since then Nebraska aint been legit them Osborne recruits finally split and Solich just didn't have the playmakers on the O to keep them at the upper level.

im not gonna go all the way with this.

The 2000 team was def better, but that 2001 beat Oklahoma and were #1 in the coaches poll heading into that Black Friday beatdown.

But they have never been the same since that day. I didnt even watch the 2001 title game because a)Nebraska should not have been there b)they had absolutely no chance to win it. That 62-36 loss in front of everyone changed that program.

Its just amazing that its been 15 years for Nebraska. Even Maryland won a conference title during that period. (:sas2:)

good point.

01 Oklahoma was all defense and Nebraska got lucky mobile Jason White got hurt that game that chump Hybl was ass. I still remember that guy slipping on that easy throwback to the QB then Nebraska burned them later with damn near the same play. :beli:

Nebraska being ahead of Miami that year was a joke they really tried to prop the 01 Gators up as well that was a Miami year no matter who fukked with them.

Purdue and Illinois have won a conference title more recently than Nebraska :snoop:

Hybl was a damn bum. :heh:

Miami was clearly best team in America, but if Nebraska went into that title game unbeaten, the spread woulda been a lot closer than it was.

Mel Kiper projects Auburn's Sammie Coates, D'haquille Williams as early-round picks

Auburn receivers Sammie Coates and D'haquille Williams will decide in the near future whether to return to school for their senior seasons or jump into the NFL.

On Thursday, ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper gave Auburn fans some projections they may not want to hear.

"They're both similar in terms of where they'll go," Kiper said of his round projections during a conference call. "Maybe late one, but probably early to mid two."

Williams' draft stock is on the rise following a seven-catch, 121-yard performance in the Tigers' 55-44 loss at No. 1 Alabama on Nov. 29. He was overshadowed by Sammie Coates' career night of five catches for 206 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Coates' speed impresses scouts, though his inconsistency as a catcher presents some concerns.

Williams leads the Tigers with 45 catches for 730 yards and five touchdowns despite missing two games with a sprained MCL in his right knee. The junior needs to work to polish his route running, Kiper said, but he has the "ability" to do so quickly like Mike Evans and Kelvin Benjamin did out of the draft last year.

"The talent level is there," Kiper said. "The smaller corners in the NFL are going to have trouble with him but he's got to round off his game, he's got to become more complete, he's got to understand the intricacies of playing the receiver position. It's not just running down the field and then making a play. There's a lot more into it."

Kiper compares Coates to former Auburn receiver Alexander Wright, who caught 56 passes for 1,320 yards and 11 touchdowns at Auburn and was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the second round in 1990.

"Sammie Coates is not as polished with route running and consistency, but he can beat you vertically down the field and that presents great value," Kiper said.

Kiper labels Coates a second-round pick but could easily see the junior rising up the charts with a great workout at Auburn's Pro Day should he choose to go pro.

"I think Duke Williams, with his size and physicality and the year he had coming over from the juco ranks, if he runs well, he could be in the late-first (round) to early- to mid-second round discussion," Kiper said.
