Since the BCS is toast at around 11 tonight, here's my top 5 BCS Champions

1. 2001 Miami Hurricanes
2. 2004 USC Trojans
3. 2009 Alabama Crimson Tide
4. 2005 Texas Longhorns
5. 2008 Florida Gators

Also can give credit to the 1999 Florida State Seminoles for going wire to wire. '11 Alabama and '03 LSU as well.

After the Top 5 it's moot point for me, they were good, just focusing on the Top 5 really tho
Best defense of all the BCS, toughest, hardest hitting defenses, the phenom Clarett, one of the best two way players in Gamble, and the brains of Krenzel

I think OU 2000 is the biggest Underdog winner. FSU was smoking everyone that year.

Nobody expected that 13-2 outcome the way it happened. There were no national stars on that OU team at the time, just a bunch of dudes who made big plays as a team. It's very much the exact same way Sugar Bowl went the other night.

With 02 OSU, people were just saying they couldn't keep up with the speed of Miami. The Big 10 had a better reputation than it does currently.

That U team had a 30 plus win streak. Andre Johnson, Maghee, Wilfork, Vilma, Dj Wiliams, Sean Taylor, rosco Parrish, Winslow , to name a few

It's debatable to me b/c that game came down to the wire, and ended on a controversial call. :manny: but OSU had a young Clarrett, Chris Gamble, Michael JEnkins, Mike Doss, Will Allen, and a few other standout players. They weren't exactly a group of nobodies. That's still the best OSU team of any of Tressel's teams to make the National Title game. And I think the Miami team that beat Nebraska the year before was probably better.

But FSU on the other hand was the undisputed dominant team of the early BCS era. Going back to the previous two seasons they were 35-2 heading into that game against OU and they were in the 3rd consecutive national title game.....OU shut them down completely. 2 points. The only debate, and rightfully so, is whether or not it should've been Miami in that game instead of FSU.

Again, it's all opinion, but that 2000 OU squad came out of NOWHERE as underdogs
