You know it's a bad Ga Tech team when you can't name a running back and they run the option.

Real talk. I'm a fan and I don't know none of these nikkas other than Smith. Paul Johnson was :eat: well off of Chan Gailey's NFL recruits.

tech needs to abandon the option

Won't happen. We're in too deep. Paul Johnson has been recruiting smaller olinemen, neglecting WR's, etc all for HIS offense. We can't just switch it up.

I'm saying. They in Georgia which is a recruiting hot-bed. At worst they pull 3 and 4 star players looking to start immediately and not wait till their junior years at UGA or Clemson or South Carolina. All they need is a quarterback and to open the offense up with their athletes.

This is partially true. What really screws us are the academic limitations and lack of non-science majors. All I ask is that we be competitive. Its not too hard to come up with a high powered offense in the NCAA.

PJ stuck in the 80's. :to:

the problem with the flexbone is its "too" run heavy

nothing wrong with a strong run game, but the way they play turns off both good QBs and WRs

if he opened up the passing game and got him some good physical possession receivers it would be a thing of beauty, but the option accounts for 95% of all play calls

its antiquated, only reason it works is when the opponent isnt playing sound gap control which honestly would allow anyones run game to work good

i used to be a fan but the more ive studied football the more it looks old and high schoolish
