It depends on the situation. It's what I've always said about free agency. Overpaying is the only route because if you do nothing, you look incompetent, even if overpaying for a marginal player is just as dumb.

This.

Only way it could be solved is through some other type of scale or limit on certain types of players' salaries which will never happen or through flat out collusion. Players will never lose this advantage in free agency. They set the market, not fans or owners or GMs...and more times than not the market responds favorably to them. Hence why it happens every year and will continue forever.

Basically, nikkas is :eat:

It's gotta be hard to be a Wolves fan during free agency. You know you have to overpay or be last on the list. Utah,Minny and Milwuakee are all in the same boat. Nobody wants to live there half the year.

It's only hard if you believe free agency is a realistic option. Free agency is simply not an option. The draft is where moves must be made.

If they'd just play to the level of their deals, people wouldn't bytch so much, and let's be honest, MLE-like deals isn't really asking for that much. A $6-7 mil a year deal is something that you should easily be able to outproduce. Most players just never do.

Situation btwn Dwight Howard & Magic getting ugly. Howard feels Magic made him promises they didn't keep to get him to sign opt-in. (con't)

Sources tell @RicBucher Players Assn is considering taking legal action against the Magic on Dwight's behalf. (con't)

Goal would be to eliminate Dwight's opt-in and make him a free agent this summer.

Easily Dwight.

Vince just stopped giving a fukk, destroying his value.

Dwight got a coach and GM fired, gone back and forth fukking over both the Magic and the Nets.

Wonder what the promises were
