but i knew once they hit kirk with that MMLE they were matching asik

if they had any intentions on going beyond the MMLE into the full MLE then we would have heard about the bulls offering that to get guys like courtney lee and oj mayo maybe.

so now we better hope that someone values a 7ft player who is a back up and avg 3pts and 3 rebs per game. and can use that major expiring,

because we will be well into the tax and paying 14 mill for him in year 3, and hard to see a team willing to do that for even just that 1 season. thats a lot of cash for dude.

i now understand that we couldnt deal him on draft night, but still, we should have dealt him last off season or at the trade dead line this past season, no way we get ourselves into this mess, and the front office just sat on they hands and let it happen.

and now it only looks like we will keep asik and maybe pick up another vet, maybe we get gerald green.

but for a team that is supposed to be a contender this is bad.

Payin him 5 mil a year is to much let alone 14 mil son one dimensional as they get he only plays 12-14 mins a game if that much

He'll make more than noah in year 3 of that deal,what sense do that make?

A damn shame 8 million to a career backup. I know he's important in our D but not for that kind of coin? 20+ million dollars for 2 centers who aren't allstar caliber. SMH

they taking his kindness for weakness and figuring since he not out spoken and not a trouble maker they can give him piss and call it lemonade and rose being the competitor he is will try to make it work with anybody. thats just that south side in him we dont back down to nothing.

people wonder why kobe bryant did what he did in forcing the lakers hand, and called him selfish whatever, but these owners will shyt on you if you dont stand up. this is why shyt like what kobe did dont bother me, cause everytime i see a superstar who keeps him mouth shut, the front office will milk it if they can. as long as the seats stayed filled they dont give a shyt. and rose is generally a nice guy, so they milk rose and his talents for as much as they can and they go to the bank with a profit. dont matter to them that his legacy is on the line and he could potentially walk away with no rings whatsoever although his talents and his competitive nature is on par with the jordans and the kobes etc which says he deserves a ring.

let rose start threatening a trade and watch how fast you see this front office get some guys up in here. same shyt happened in cleveland, they surrounding lebron with larry hughes and shyt. minute they saw 2010 coming and saw lebron wasnt signing on the dotted line, here comes shaq getting traded there etc.

its all the same. its bad but rose might have to turn into a selfish prick who is concerned with his legacy to get these guys to move and get him some players who can help him win it all.

if they go commit that much to asik then flip noah for a star guard or swingman who can help fill another one of our holes

thats why im saying they have handled this poorly. in year 3 we will be paying 30 mill for the center position, neither of which might even be a all star at that time. you just dont do that. and its plenty that could have been done to prevent it.
