I feel like 2mos is pretty lenient for an apartment search. They are stressing out as if they gotta buy a house or something.

Eviction is typically a 30days process, so they should count their blessings. I'm also sure there was some wording stating the owners had a right to do such a thing within the lease agreement.
Yea sound like it's the end of there lease and he is just issuing a notice that he is not renewing. Very noble of him to give a 60 day notice instead of 30.

You can't be serious with not seeing an issue with this

Channel 2 spoke with the property manager who said the termination is due to an extensive construction overhaul needed for the property.

Residents say for years they’ve been dealing with rodents’ mold and insects. The property manager says there is just no way to make necessary repairs with nearly 200 people currently living on site.

It does need improvement, a lot from bottom to top, to inside and out, but I don’t feel like they should have to make us have to go,” Redding said.

[The property managers can have the authorities deem the apartments unsafe to live and put them out anyways.

Once those renovations are done, yesterday’s price aren’t going to be the future prices.

It sucks and can very well be me but I’m fighting hard so it isn’t me.]
That’s literally the main reason for this. It’s a loophole to be able to raise the prices on rent. Claim they need to do renovations so they can remove tenants and re-lease to new renters at a higher prices. And the fact that rates are so high probably increases the number of renters vs. buyers in the market.

IIRC There was a panel discussing ways to do this a couple months ago, finding ways to increase rent that are technically legal, even if morally wrong.

Being a residential landlord isn’t cheap, it’s stressful, and full of conflicts.

I’ve been there before. I will say I’ve seen more roaches there than anywhere else in my life. shyt is a cesspool. So many roaches, make you not even want to smoke the weed you just bought. And chilling in the car is a quick way to get first 48’d

This is in decatur. They arent gonma build no damn high rises
Yeah this is in the hood, hood where there's gun shots firing several times a week, people play loud music in cars that can't run, and people sell drugs outside the gas station. They still need a good 5-10 years of gentrification before they consider building anything fancy other there.
lol black mecca
Atlanta is a mecca in the sense that black people with money are seen as normal and not treated differently/worse by society.
A lot of black celebrities feel at home in Atlanta because they don't feel like a target for having nice things.

:what:
2 months aint shyt.
Moving is expensive. Gotta have 1st month rent, deposits, moving trucks, hope something is available that you can afford, hope something is available near your job or child's school. That shyt is a process.

This comment is out of touch. Read the room. Application fees, moving vans, exorbitant deposits, cleaning, packing, finding new schools. Yeah, 2 months is sufficient time especially after being told this last minute :comeon:
