20 Years Ago ECW Died

It was cool and edgy at the time compared to the cartoon characters in WCW & WWF, but it definitely has not aged well at all. I cannot sit and re-watch any shows from start to finish.

I always said that ECW was like the AND 1 of professional wrestling. For it's time, it was some revolutionary shyt. I think that 94-96 were the peak of ECW and after that it just became another promotion. WWF took their style and made it a hot song while WCW took their talent and made them into a bunch of losers. Yes, looking back at the old ECW shows are as hell to watch.

• Overbooked hell
• Wrestlers bytching about not getting put on while they begging WWF or WCW to signed them
• Most of the matches were boring or downright terrible
• Only a selected amount of "stars" while majority of the card just wasn't it chief

Agreed with most of what you said, but I disagree with the bolded. WCW introduced guys like Eddie, Rey, Benoit, Malenko, Saturn, Jericho, Psychosis & others to a bigger audience and helped them become stars. Sure, WCW didn't give them the keys to the main event but the WWF at the time would've never gave them a platform to begin with. If anything, the WWF piggybacked off WCW with them instead of ECW. Without WCW, those guys probably would've never made it to where they did.

Just goes to show how different today's era is
And how lucky they have been
If tna was started in the 90s
It would have been xwf status
