Not only is what you posted right now an opinion piece of man not even attempting to hide his political bias, it doesn't in any way support that bullshyt you posted in your original post whatsoever. The logical leap from the administration acting negligently in handling the secrecy of the mission and it deliberately exposing these guys so that they got killed to hide their secret is gigantic. what was the plan? have them fly around in a chinook in afghanistan all day everyday until someone shot them down with an rpg?

It takes a special breed to be a Seal. They accomplished the mission and are probably just waiting for the next one.

Admiral's e-mail on photos of Osama bin Laden's corpse: 'Destroy them'
By Dugald McConnell and Brian Todd, CNN
updated 7:52 AM EST, Wed February 12, 2014

(CNN) -- Within two weeks of the raid that killed Osama bin Laden, the head of U.S. special forces issued orders that all photos of the body be either turned in or destroyed, a newly released document shows.

In an e-mail dated May 13, 2011, then-Vice Adm. William McRaven wrote the following: "One particular item that I want to emphasize is photos; particularly UBLs remains. At this point -- all photos should have been turned over to the CIA; if you still have them destroy them immediately or get them to the [redacted.]"

The e-mail was obtained by the conservative activist group Judicial Watch, which has called for the public release of photos of the raid in Pakistan that killed the al Qaeda leader. The e-mail, which was almost entirely redacted, was released under a Freedom of Information Act request.

Days before McRaven's instructions, Judicial Watch had filed a FOIA request for such photos, and hours before, they filed a lawsuit, according to the group's president, Tom Fitton.

"Despite there being multiple requests for this information, and a lawsuit for this information, there was a directive that was sent out, to who knows who, to destroy records," he said. "It may have been in violation of the law," he said.

It is not clear whether any photos of bin Laden's remains were actually destroyed. Through a spokesman, McRaven declined to comment.

Retired Gen. James "Spider" Marks, a CNN military analyst, says if McRaven ordered photos deleted, he may have been trying to protect operational secrets, sources and methods and trying to make sure no commandos kept any photos or video of the covert raid that they were not authorized to keep.

See a PDF of the redacted e-mail

"It wouldn't be surprising if they shook them down, and they said 'OK, I want to make sure you don't have something that's hidden away someplace,' " he said.

In the days after the raid, President Barack Obama said he would not authorize the release of any images of bin Laden's corpse, saying it would create a security risk.

"It is important for us to make sure that very graphic photos of somebody who was shot in the head are not floating around as an incitement to additional violence, as a propaganda tool," the president told CBS news magazine "60 Minutes."

Former FBI Assistant Director Tom Fuentes said he would have similar concerns if photos of the terrorist's body were made public.

"You would see those images forever on television," he said. "That could lead to more recruitment of future al Qaeda members, making him a martyr."

Fitton is not persuaded by that argument.

"Americans' right to know about what their government is up to should be circumscribed because we don't want to offend terrorists and their sympathizers? That to me is unbelievable," he said. "This is a historic raid. People have a right to this information."

But so far, the courts have not sided with Judicial Watch on that question, and the Supreme Court declined to hear the organization's appeal.

The U.S. raid on bin Laden's compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, was conducted on May 2, 2011.

:whew: (I didn't add the underlines to the article)

this seems like just a strange chain of coincidence like a lot of other things. The idea to destroy the evidence is blatantly stupid though. The fact that we still haven't seen a picture of him dead is just crazy.

So your point is that Bin Laden was dead already, so the government ordered one of their top Tier 1 units in for a fake assassination which they would then use as a reason to kill off said Tier 1 unit, thereby losing incredibly valuable resources in the process.

even if Bin Laden wasnt dead already. If they wanted him found, he would have been got. :manny: but whatever, i do somewhat understand the actions governments take in the name of national interests. IF they don't do it, somebody else would.

Damn that's a deadly blow, they took out our number one unit. :ohhh:

This sorta thing happens to the IDF all the time, but they only report their victories. Muslim be giving cats the blues. You'd think we'd just leave them alone by now, but nope, we just can't keep our hands off that oil.

bin dude was already dead. but the war on terror is making certain ppl so much money why stop the movement.
they'd only announce his death at a time when it's convenient.
the most convenient time is when they want to distract ppl.
seal 6 don't know who they're going for. all they're doing is carrying out orders. so they go over to pakistan and take out some rebel in the dark and take pictures and throw him in the ocean.

if them niccas really wanted they could've brought him here alive and try him. or shown they really had him like they did my mans gadafi.

govt keeps lyin all keep buying. they're not as sophisticated as you think they are.
if the photos weren't meant to be released to the public we wouldn't have seen them. the day they supposedly kill obl, they had his pictures "leaked" as proof. that nicca didn't look nothing like obl. then again with photoshop anything is possible. and dont think they don't use photoshop cause barack's birth certificate was photoshopped and you could download the photoshopped copy from the white house website. with photoshop layers and everything.

You sound like the type of dude that works at 7/11 and has to construct these fantasies in order to rationalize theyre own garbage existence. all of you are the same. This plot makes zero sense. all youre doing is falsely connecting valid points like the american warmachine making corporations money with other nonsense. it doesnt add any validity to your argument and doesnt hold up to logic. on one hand, you want people to believe that there is some ultra-powerful group within the government that has enacted these incredibly elaborate plans for global domination and on the other, you use their supposed incompetence as proof of this plan. don't you think they would've covered the photoshop of the pictures more thoroughly and accurately if it was that important? If not, why leak them at all? To give clues of the plan to the legions of basement dwelling conspiracy trolls?:mjlol: Maybe its you who isnt as sophisticated as you think.
