I went back 2 pages, never went through the whole thread. Again, I am objectively trying to see it from the lawyer/legal perspective is what I wanted. It's OK us here condemning him to his fate - but it's another thing in the courts of law and how many cases have fallen foul to the justice system. It happens damn near every time and every time it's trial by media. They go to court and they got off due to xyz.

The house looks a lot more open form that angle - it's like you only have 2-3 steps from the open road to the front where Ahmaud was, so it's not even like he was exploring in the house. Literallyy poked his head in for a few seconds then left.

As far as trespassing goes:

To be eligible to make a citizen's arrest for a crime on or in relation to property, you must be one of the following:

• the owner of the property;
• in lawful possession of the property; or.
• have been authorized by the owner or the person in lawful possession of the property.

You can not chase down people who you suspect committed a crime and hold them at gun point, that is illegal detention.

If you are involved in a crime (illegal detention) that results in someones death you can be charged with murder. At the very least these men's foolish actions resulted in manslaughter.

They should rot IMO.

This is pretty much where my point was going - legal loop holes. We need to be extremely empathic with his death, but also logical about what MAY happen when defence lawyers spin this shyt in all directions

June 12 will be interesting and ultimately I think they will be found guilty (READ: found guilty, not charged) of voluntary manslaughter, 2nd degree murder will be hard to prove IMO. We'll see
