Breh once you hit 315 you're gonna want more. shyt is addicting until the pain and injuries start kicking in and fukking with your daily life

Same thing I was bouta tell'em

Once you hit 315,you are GOING to wanna hit 405,then so on,I remember first lifting wanting to just cut up and be in shape, then I hit 135 and wanted more, thought I would be satisfied once I hit 185,nope,225 was the last goal.....................supposedly, hit 315,and still want more,it's like an addiction to be stronger and stronger and stronger, just gives you a huge satisfaction seeing other big strong guys in the gym watching you move big heavy weight. That's how it was for me in prison, and I'm pretty sure that's how yall look at it here on the outside.
Yeah, I wonb't disagree with that. My dead is 505 and last Friday I tried to top it even though I told myself I was satisfied previously.

Breh gimme advice on this bench thing. Hit 140kg/308lbs last week, yet with 2 plates 100kg/220lbs, most I can rep out is 8. I usually train in the 5 rep range for flat bench and 8-10 for incline & overhead. Am I doing something wrong? Been benching just over a yr but I'm a big fella so I kinda moved up quick.

Breh i experienced the same thing for a while :wow:

I started doing pause reps (once the bar is at the point where you are about to push it up, pause for 2-3 seconds) and now im doing 12 reps on 225. Doing that and weighted dips improved my benching tremendously. You also might want to up your rep range on flat bench to 10+ reps.

Heres my flat bench workout:

135x10

225x10

275x5

315x2

275x3 pause rep

225x5 pause rep

Nah I wouldn't say you aren't doing anything wrong

I would do 135 and 185 for sets of 10 as a warm up then 225 for 5 or 6 and 255 for a 2 or 3 set at 5+ reps. Then the last set burn out with 205 or 185

Breh above had some excellent advice too with the pause reps. But do that at like 225 or 185 and explode into the rep at the concentric ( push ) portion of the rep
