2 People Get Shot, But Sneaker Heads Still Stayed in Line for New Jordans :snoop:

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) – Police say two men were shot outside a Wilmington, Delaware store Saturday morning while they were camped out waiting for the release of a new Nike Air Jordan sneaker.

The shooting happened around 5:30 a.m. outside the Sneaker Villa store located on the 600 block of North Market Street after an argument reportedly began.

The victims were taken to Wilmington Hospital and later transferred to Christiana Hospital. One of the victims is in critical condition. Neither victim has been identified.

About a dozen people were reportedly camped out waiting for the store to open with the release of the Air Jordan V “Bel-Air,” which sells for $185 a pair. Despite the incident, people remained waiting for the store to open.

Representatives from the Sneaker Villa released the following statement…

“Our customers are our first priority. At VILLA, we take great pride in treating our customers like family and we will continue to take the proper steps to ensure that our customers are safe. We have strong values and are committed to working with our community to create an environment where everyone can achieve their dreams and prosper.”

Police are investigating the shooting. So far, no arrests have been made.

More stores should do like the spot I go to. They no longer do the camping out shyt. Instead they do a raffle where u can come into the store the week before the shoes drop and grab a free ticket and the day of the raffle they announce the winners live on twitter and Instagram or u can show up the day they drop with your ticket and hear them announce the winners at 10 when the store opens. Less chances of getting mugged.

My store does this but they will call and notify winners.
