Ehh, somewhat however our inside advantage is nothing compared to having MVP Shaq. Plus we ended up winning that series anyways. What insane specialist types did we have? Horry was a big shot maker and a good defender, Fox could defend, Rice was old by this time. I feel as though this team will find ways to win like that team did. We don’t need to be overwhelming on paper.

I would say one of the biggest differences objectively speaking is that Kawhi has proven that he can do it as the lead. And I like PG as a second option over what the Blazers had. Pip, for all his accomplishments, never led a team to a title and won. Plus by that time he was older than Kawhi is. That Blazers team was very dynamic and on a better day they would’ve faced the Pacers.
But as you said, sometimes you need things to go your way. Not just that, you have to have the kinda players that can seize those moments. I think we got those players, but I also don’t think the clips would be the types to choke like that either.
