Those cheap ass 1 star motels can be very dangerous. Nothing but prostitution, drug dealers, drug addicts, scumbags, etc. Its a crazy world of its own. Of course a lot of the tenants may not even have the money so they’ll just live outside and hustle up some money to get a room, or there may be like a bunch of people that get together and share one room.
