I was almost killed by an exploding truck tire. My truck had caught on fire and I used the extinguisher to put it out. The passenger side front tire exploded right when I walked away about 10ft. My ears were ringing for days. Would have taken my head off. Sounded and felt like someone let off a 12gauge next to my head.

Yea it's a 32 year old plane and not on its original tires. Boeing is getting everything they deserve but these airline maintenance protocols need more scrutiny.

The 757 was made from 1981-2004… it’s obvious Delta ain’t pushing the ones from the 90s and 80s duh..

All of their 757a are from 2000-2004 and all of those aircraft came with a warranty on the air frame for 30years… soo delta will be retiring their 757s by the end of this decade
