Mac Miller wouldn't release his album until pre sales hit a certain mark. It was on "pre-sale" for a long while until it hit 100k and it got a date and did 145 which was still impressive without any features, "indie" and all that (1k less than 2chainz btw), so how can you hate on this? 50 did 114k 3 years ago.
